What's new

0.0.3.0 (alpha) - winter + completeness
- NEW: snow cover: while it snows in cold biomes, the tops of blocks and leaves gradually turn white (noisy, uneven build-up, only on surfaces open to the sky). Option in Weather & Air.
- NEW: missing render passes added for all three dimensions: spider/Enderman/dragon eyes, beacon beams and lightning now glow properly; translucent entities, translucent blocks and the water-hand are lit correctly (they could previously be left unlit on Iris 26.x).
- NEW: Debug View (Image & Color): world normals, lightmap, material, distance, luminance false colour. Handy for bug reports (see docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md).
- NEW: Underwater Visibility slider (Fine Tune).
- NEW: two more styles: Cinematic (warm, filmic, contrasty) and Pastel (soft, light, dreamy).
- IMPROVED: the Atmosphere menu is split into Sky & Sun / Weather & Air / World Motion; all options have hover text (EN/TR).
- IMPROVED: more NaN-proofing; Nether and End are now checked separately.
- Checked: all 267 programs compile, no NaN in any tested state, Overworld/Nether/End. Idea inspiration from other packs' feature lists; all code original.
- Not verifiable on the test renderer (no rain/hand/entity/lightning passes): the new translucent/glowing passes and slanted rain were compile-checked only. Please report how they look in game.

0.0.2.9 (alpha) - hardening
- FIX: removed GLSL constructs whose behavior depends on the graphics driver (reversed-edge smoothstep in 21 places, pow() of possibly negative values). The image is unchanged on the test renderer; this should make results consistent across NVIDIA / AMD / Intel drivers.
- No new features. All 213 programs compile; no NaN in any tested state.

0.0.2.8 (alpha) - outlines and surfaces
- NEW: ink outlines (Image menu, off by default): dark outlines around edges and silhouettes for a cartoon/illustrated look, with adjustable thickness.
- NEW: waving lava: lava surfaces slowly swell and sink. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: bobbing lily pads on the water. Option in Atmosphere.
- Checked: all 213 programs compile, no NaN in any tested state; with the new options off the image is identical to 0.0.2.7. Lava/lily motion was only compile-checked, so please report if lava edges show seams.

0.0.2.7 (alpha) - weather events
- NEW: desert sandstorm: on some days hot biomes get a dense orange wind-blown sandstorm in the daytime. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: slanted rain: rain and snow fall at an angle that follows a daily wind direction, steeper in thunderstorms. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: noctilucent clouds: rare electric-blue wisps glowing near the horizon in deep twilight. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: auroras are much more frequent in cold and snowy biomes. Option in Atmosphere.
- Checked: all 213 programs compile, no NaN in any tested state; with the four new options off the image is identical to 0.0.2.6. Slanted rain could only be compile-checked (the test renderer has no rain pass), so please report how it looks.

0.0.2.6 (alpha) - daytime air
- NEW: dust & pollen: tiny specks floating in the daylight air, most visible when looking toward the sun. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: desert heat shimmer: faint heat-haze wobble on distant ground in hot biomes on sunny days. Option in Atmosphere.
- Checked: all 213 programs compile, no NaN in any tested state; with the two new options off the image is identical to 0.0.2.5.

0.0.2.5 (alpha) - darkness + tooltips
- NEW: Warden Darkness: the Darkness effect (Warden, Sculk Shriekers) now fades the world to black with distance, like blindness. Option in Atmosphere (on by default).
- IMPROVED: every option in the menu now has a hover description (36 were missing), English and Turkish.
- Checked: all 213 programs compile, no NaN in any tested state; with the new option off the image is identical to 0.0.2.4.

0.0.2.4 (alpha) - rainbow fix + new details
- FIX: the rainbow is now a single, continuous arc drawn in front of the clouds (no second bow, no dark gap in between).
- NEW: fireflies on humid nights (swamp, forest, jungle): softly glowing, blinking, drifting lights. Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: meteor showers on some nights (extra shooting stars). Option in Atmosphere.
- NEW: foliage color variation: leaves and grass shift between warmer and cooler patches instead of one flat green. Option in Materials.
- NEW: surface variation: subtle brightness patches and per-block differences that hide texture repetition. Option in Materials.

0.0.2.3 (alpha) - small details
- FIX: block-breaking cracks no longer corrupt the lighting of the block being mined.
- FIX: enchanted armor/items are lit normally instead of looking flat and fullbright in the dark.
- NEW: rainbow after rain, warm low moon with halo, synchronized torch/flame flicker, more colored light sources, more held light sources, more swaying plants, Eye Adaptation Speed option.

0.0.2.2 (alpha)
- NEW: held light sources glow; labPBR metals; more colored light sources; many new Fine Tune options.

Note: Real-world hardware testing is ongoing; it has been tested on real hardware, but not on a large scale. Please remember to share your hardware and the results you obtained with us.
