## v2.1.0 — The Deep Sky Update
### New: 3D block relief (parallax)
- Blocks now have real depth, like a 3D texture pack — mortar lines sink, cobblestones pop, wood grain carves in. The relief comes from the block textures themselves, no res
ource pack needed.
- Depth and distance sliders in the Details menu. Disabled in the Performance profile.
### New: deep sky
- Dense procedural starfield: thousands of fine stars with varied warm/cool tints, subtle twinkling.
- The Milky Way crosses the zenith on clear nights, with star clouds and dark dust veins.
- A massive black hole reigns over the northern sky, day and night — glowing photon ring, tilted accretion disk. It never moves: use it as a compass.
- Round sun (slightly larger, reddens near the horizon) and round moon with real phases, craters and a silver halo. No more vanilla squares.
### New: volumetric ground mist
- Ray-marched mist banks with real depth: they drift slowly, pass in front of buildings and pool in hollows.
- Lantern halos swell inside the fog — light bites into the mist.
### Improved: dramatic skies
- Golden-hour sunsets: an incandescent horizon band on the sun side, powdered pink spread and a purple veil above.
- Clouds blaze peach at dusk with backlit golden rims; moonlit silver clouds at night.
- Rainy days fixed: clouds, fog and sky now converge into one continuous overcast grey — no more black dome over pale distant terrain.
### Improved: water
- More transparent (the bottom shows through), less saturated tint, and the "gel-like" brightness wobble is gone.
- Stronger reflections, even when looking down — clear water lives by its reflections.
### Improved: warm nights
- Night bloom reworked: lantern and torch light blooms generously and warmly after dark, while the moon and stars stay sober. Days keep their clean look.
### Performance
- Volumetric light now computed at half resolution with a depth-aware upscale: same look, roughly a quarter of the cost.
- Bloom moved to quarter resolution: wider, softer halos, no more banding, four times cheaper.
### Misc
- New optional edge blur with center focus (Post menu), slightly stronger default vignette.
- New menu options: Deep sky, 3D relief, Edge blur. All new effects can be toggled.
## v2.0.4
- Full per-dimension program sets: the Nether, the End and modded dimensions render correctly.
