Features/Changes

Greed Challenges: Quite a few changes!

All Greed Challenges now have no max tier, so you can roll uncompleted challenges from earlier tiers. When completing or abandoning a challenge, a new challenge will automatically be rolled out of the available pool. Completed challenges will not roll again until you have completed all available challenges.

The amount of reputation given from challenges was adjusted, it is now a base value that scales with your greed tier. If the challenge is from an earlier tier, the reputation change will be reduced, to a max of half the normal amount.

Greed Challenges: 10 new Challenges added! Check them out in-game, a short blurb is available below about each.

Challenge: Pitch Black: Your eyes are blinded and you are stuck in a deep dark cavern filled with ghosts! Light your way to victory.

Challenge: Ultra Hard: Good luck!

Challenge: Elixir of Doom: Enchanted Elixir but luck is not on your side! A lot more events than normal and they are all bad.

Challenge: Blackout Ballistic Bingo: Exactly what it says on the tin.

Challenge: Blackout Collector: Exactly what it says on the tin. :)

Challenge: God's Challenge: The Vault Gods are impressed, but you can impress them more.

Challenge: Big Bad Brew: That's a big cauldron! Can you fill up the brew in time?

Challenge: Chaos Chaos Chaos: Complete tasks as fast as you can in an Unhinged vault!

Challenge: Rage Cage: The elites have returned and they have brought reinforcements!

Challenge: Survival of the Fittest: Let's see if you have what it takes to survive.

Cagerium: Research now includes "Mob Processor", which includes a new Mob Processor block that can automate a ton of eggs at the same time! You'll have to craft 4 Spawn Eggs into Augment Spawn Eggs before they can be used in it.

Cagerium: Research renamed to "Mob Processing"

Cagerium: Added JEI support for helping figure out which egg works for what block.

Cagerium: When you have Jade enabled, Mob Cages, Terrariums, and Binding Plates will show whether the Spawn Egg you are holding is supported by that block or not.

Etching Shop Pedestals: In addition to the current possible items, legendary and regular (no legendary/etching) gear was added. Costs adjusted.

Omega Shop Pedestal: Significantly more common in mapped vaults than before, loot table adjusted.

New Theme: Sculk, part of the Void theme group.

New Theme: Abandoned Lab, part of the Void theme group. (thanks I'm Josh Paasing By!!!)

New Theme: Lunar, part of a new theme group, Astral.

New Theme: Red Planet, also part of the Astral theme group.

New Mobs: Added several new mobs as part of the Astral theme group.

Astral Theme Note: This objective will be getting an additional feature in a later update, but wanted to go ahead and get this out there for now!

Legacy Items: More legacy items were hidden from JEI (thanks Seajay27)

Shard Pouch: Recipe changed to make it a little less annoying to craft early game.

Vaultarang: Now drops from Ornate Strongboxes and Dungeon barrels, and Enigma chests in Mapped vaults.

Vaultarang: Reworked, now no longer leaves your hand when thrown, and velocity/range will no longer unintentionally interact with the range/velocity of your magnet. Throwing from off-hand disabled until some issues with offhand rangs have been resolved.

Vaultarang: Chaining has been replaced with Ricochet, a new rang only modifier. (credits to MrBustin). Only affects newly rolled rangs or rerolled rangs.

Prestige Powers: Reworked, many Trinket prestige powers have been removed and replaced with new powers. New powers are listed below. Several remaining trinket prestige powers were moved into different tiers.

Prestige: Soul Fetcher: +100% Soul Quantity

Prestige: Blessing of the Dryad: +15 Hearts

Prestige: Echoing Hammersmith: When crafting tools in the Tool Station, they gain 75 additional capacity.

Prestige: Artificer of Ages: When identifying Vault Gear, they gain 100 additional crafting potential.

Prestige: Mythic Bounty Hunter: Normal bounties roll as legendary bounties. Lost Bounty's now roll a Mythic bounty with an improved reward pool.

Trinket Fusion Forge: A new block used for fusing trinkets together. The fusing of trinkets requires a new fluid called "Prismatic Glue" which requires processing vault ingredients using various different mods. Experiment with the available options for the most optimal glue production! Credit to Qiyana for the model and texture.

Fusion Trinkets: A combination of trinkets forged together using the Trinket Fusion Forge, the first trinket in the fusion decides what slot it can go in. This expands the number of trinkets you are able to have equipped even further beyond the max trinket pouch!

Etchings: Many new etchings added, see below for the list.

Etching: Levitation Hover: When deactivating Levitation, grants Slow Falling for a brief period.

Etching: Colossus Titan: When Colossus is active, gain +% Resistance cap.

Etching: Diffuse Chemical Barrage: When Diffuse is cast, launch Chaos Cubes in random directions.

Etching: Sneaky Getaway Ninja: When Sneaky Getaways is active, gain % Dodge chance.

Etching: Purist of Normality: Purist now counts Common gear in addition to Scrappy.

Etching: Prudent Chaos: Randomly activate a Brew effect when drinking a Vault Vial/Potion/etc, chance scales with Prudent level.

Etching: Reverberating Echo: Echoing strikes now immediately detonate the previously applied effect instead of dealing damage over time.

Etching: Fireball Greedball: Fireball radius set to minimum. Fireball now does additional damage based on your Item Quantity, Item Rarity, and Copiously.

Etching: Fireball Volley Mitosis: When Fireball Volley bounces, it splits into additional bouncing fireballs.

Etching: Concentrate Drain: For each effect drained from mob with Concentrate, deal % current health damage, and heal slightly for each effect drained.

Etching: Reaving Hemmorage: Reaving applies Bleed for 8 seconds in addition to its other effects.

Greed Trial Vessel: Vessel can now have various potion effects applied instead of ignoring all of them. (thanks JGrade)

Greed Trial Vessel: When killing all Vessel's mob spawns in between phases, instantly starts next wave instead of waiting. (thanks rizek)

Alchemy Archive: When using an Alchemy Archive while having all effects unlocked, refills your Vault Vial/Potion/Brew/Mixture.

Gateway Pearls: Added new Greedy gateway pearl.

Armor Transmog: Added new Heatwave Mythic armor transmog. (thanks a1qs and Bread!)

Echoing: Fixed Echoing not working if the effect was reapplied too quickly and adjusted damage falloff to shift more damage into the first few detonations

Cake Objective: Village rooms will now only spawn the cake on the top layer of the room. (thanks rizek)

Jewel Picking Algorithm: When auto-selecting jewels, takes aspects like Unusual and Jewel size into account.

Item Quantity: Formula used for calculating item quantity reworked, having more item quantity will continue to be useful until around 2300% item quantity. Note: Highly experimental change! Do let me know your thoughts on this once you've played around for a bit in-game!

Super Inscriptions: Wold's rooms with inscriptions now have Super inscription versions in the Greed Trader.

Wild West Inscription: Cost increased to better reflect changes to the room. (thanks JGrade)

Advancements: Removed Izzy's Vault advancements as they are considerably outdated, new advancements might come later.

Botania: All decorative blocks are now no longer research locked. (thanks rizek)

Crafting Tweaks: Will no longer compress Driftwood into Driftwood Boards.

Wooden Dungeon Barrel: Loot table tweaked.

Resource Cards: New tasks have been added.

Deluxe Resource Cards: Hostile Mystery Egg added and Soul Ichor card makes its return with a harder task pool!

Compressed Blocks: Topaz, Soot, and Ornate Chains now have Compressium versions. Compress to your hearts content!

Crystal Block: The Crystal Blocks from the Vault Mod are now craftable using stone and gemstones.

Treasure Rooms: Added 6 new variations of treasure rooms. (thank you Kazumi!)

Greed Tree: Durability Wear Reduction nodes have been swapped out for Heart Fragment Chance as this is 99% useless in the late game as it is.

Survival Objective: Player nerf modifier now no longer reduces cooldown and mana regeneration.

New Trinket: Immortal Seal, 5% chance to gain Immortality (damage immunity) for 5 seconds.

Vault Map: Several modifiers now no longer unintentionally conflict with each other, such as chest bonuses. (thanks rizek)

Dynamic Lights: Now disabled by default.

Loot Info: The loot information for items is now hidden by default, you can change this in Wold's Vaults client config if you'd like them on.

Item Tooltips: Tags no longer display by default.

Scannable: Default scanner display time is increased.

QOL: Added conversion recipes between Buildscape and Wildbackport's Mud

Vault Fruit: The way the HP penalty for Vault Fruit works has been reworked, fixes exploits involving taking off health granting equipment and back off. Maximum amount of fruit you can eat now scales with your maximum HP.

Greed Cauldron: Now requests a few additional item types.

Altar Conduit: When Altar Conduit has an active redstone signal, will prevent extracting items if it would take all of an item.

Offhand Gear: Many offhand gear pieces have had their base durability rolls buffed. (also inclues Unique offhands)

Ability Scaling: Both Implode and Life Tap also scale their radius damage fall-off with overlevels now, like previous update did for Nova.

Ball Lightning: Small rework, cooldown, damage and mana cost massively reduced. Damage range tightened up signficiantly and both minimum and maximum damage scale with level. Lightning Orbs now chain lightning between each other within a certain radius, dealing damage to all targets in-between.

Idona Deck: Now has 2 sockets.

Deck Cores: Most Wold Deck cores received adjustments to their values. Goal is to make underutilized cores more enticing and slightly rein in the strong cores.

Vault Royale: Modifier gained when scaling the loot multiplier no longer buffs the player, nerfs the player as intended.

Mekanism Combiner: Can now craft Nullite Ore from Nullite Fragments and Vault Stone.

Pickup Notifier Presets: Added Gems and Boss Rune to default Wold's preset (requires fresh install or cleaning out your existing preset configs)

Shuffling Ballistic Bingo: Added new "Seal of the Shuffling Doomsayer" seal for shuffling Ballistic Bingo

New Unique: Plague Steppers, found in Black Market (credits to MrBustin)

Colossal Chests: Chest tiers above Iron have been disabled to help avoid issues. Any existing blocks you have for higher tiers will still exist.

Pickup Notifier: New option to configure how many items are displayed instead of being hard coded to 5. (thank you rizek!)

Etching Application Table: Uniques can now have Etchings applied.

Chest Traps: A couple new chest traps have been added.

Shockwave Trap: Blasts you backwards away from the chest!

Mob Buff Trap: Two variations: Zoomies trap gives all nearby mobs a big speed boost! Plated trap gives all nearby mobs extra damage and damage resistance.

Slowness Trap: Works like Poison trap but gives Slowness effect instead.

Explosion Trap: Chest explodes, dealing damage nearby! (does not destroy blocks)

Chest Trap Chance: In addition to the new traps, trap chances have been tweaked a bit, primarily for Mana Stealer trap which is much rarer now!

Dungeons: In Mapped vaults, dungeons should now have chance to drop Omega+ gear. More tweaks coming later.

Vault Maps: Collector objective added as possible objective roll.

Bounty Tasks: Collector added as possible completion task.

Ability Specializations: You can now remove and add ability specializations before vault has started.

Drygmy Spawn Egg: Added a Drygmy spawn egg and added it to Mystery Egg pool.

Black Market: Reset timer no longer resets when rerolling the Black Market.

Fixes

Fix: Treasure Magnet now available on Treasure Pillar as intended.

Fix: Wild West room should use correct loot table for chests and your level.

Fix: Incorrect description on Greed Assassin damage greed node.

Fix: Locker Debt multiplies XP by 0 instead of -10000%

Fix: Blacksmith room not having map loot in mapped vaults.

Fix: Greater Pure Core having incorrect values.

Fix: Missing Ars Nouveau spawn eggs missing the_vault:spawnegg tag (fixes using these for spawn egg reroll recipe)

Fix: Fixed Mythic Focus not rolling Implode levels.

Developer Notes

Hello, happy Mother's Day folks! You have no idea how much I want to just keep cramming in more things into these updates, but I can't keep some of these fixes waiting any longer!

I also really wanted to get this out before the next official Wold's server reset… which will be quite exciting! If you haven't heard yet, I am collaborating with Masuary and Kazumi over at MasuCraft who have been hosting an excellent Wold's server and customized VH3 Remastered skyblock server! There will be inter-server connection and separate servers for vaulting on to hopefully help out with server stability quite a bit! It's a whole new thing for the official Wold's servers and I would be more than excited to see you there once it launches! Keep an eye on the discord for an announcement on launch date!

I was asked recently if I have any sort of roadmap, and… roughly sorta yes, I often have ideas of what I would like to work on but there is no official beautiful roadmap of any sorts. I often include these sorts of thoughts in these changelogs though, so here are some rough ideas of things I'd like to work on…

Roadmap

Continue expanding out content (new themes, new uniques, new objectives, new rooms, more etchings, new challenge crystals, you name it, I want more of it)

Expand upon mapped vaults (new mapped variations of rooms, additional map themes, new map modifiers and ways of interacting with them in artisan station)

Improving some of the existing Wold's rooms that don't have much going on currently (sort of like the previous Graveyard rework)

More inter-mod interaction with vault items sort of like the new Prismatic Glue and Trinket Fusing system. Making use of mods to save on vault resources and other interesting interactions.

More bug fixes, always more bug fixes.

New abilities (especially fleshing out the "ultimate" category a bit) and reworking/improving existing underutilized abilities

Improve customization of weekly Time Trial system for server admins

Expand upon the "special" mod research category
