Together we stand; divided we fall.
WE MUST SURVIVE
Minecraft 1.10.2
This modpack offers the player a combination of high difficulty survival and the management of a kingdom of NPCs. It also encourages co-operation with other players. Form a colony in the barren tundra, or a city in the forest. You'll need skill and persistence to succeed.
FEATURES (and the mods that add them):
Unique Death Penalty (Souls): It's a bit too frustrating if you lose all your stuff when you die, but it's a bit too lenient to put it in a normal gravestone. Now, when you die, a Soul will spawn, holding all your items, and equipping your armor and weapons. If you can kill your Soul, you'll get your stuff back, so remember to keep an extra set of gear ready in your base.
Body Temperature (Tough as Nails): Warm during the day, cold at night. The biome matters too, as well as other factors like the current season, and the kind of armor you're wearing. Watch out, as hyper/hypothermia is a killer.
Thirst (Tough as Nails): You'll need access to clean water if you want to keep your energy up enough to work and fight. Rainwater will be clean, but any other water source will need to be filtered and boiled before drinking.
Tiredness (Better Sleeping): Sleep whenever you want, morning, noon, or night, but now you'll need to... don't sleep for long enough and you'll be exhausted. Caffeine will help...
Seasons (Tough as Nails): Experience the beauty of the changing colours of the seasons, including snow in biomes that normally wouldn't get it. Also, experience dying crops, and freezing to death.
Difficult Food/Hunger (The Spice of Life): Man can not live on bread alone. Now, you'll need a variety of food to keep you afloat, as eating the same thing over and over will result in diminishing returns.
More/Easier Food (Cooking for Blockheads, Food Expansion, More Foods): Since you need to eat lots of different kinds of food, there are a lot of different kinds to choose from now, and to make that food easier to craft, you can make a cookbook that shows you everything you can make from what you're currently holding.
Reduced Starting Health (Tough As Nails): Even on Easy, you won't start with a full ten hearts... you can get them back with Lifeblood Crystals, but where are they?
True Darkness (Hardcore Darkness): No more minimum light level. If you're in a pitch black cave, or in a moonless night, it really is dark.
Infernal Enemies (AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs): Tough enemies can appear any time, any place. Beat them for improved rewards, but the risk is high.
Blood Moons (Bloodmoon): When the night turns red, the threats outside your walls are even more intense than usual. Who could sleep at a time like this?
NPC Villagers (Minecraft Comes Alive): To have a proper colony, you'll need other survivors. Start the game with a family, or even a whole village. Get married, have kids, run a kingdom. Can you keep your loved ones alive?
Dungeons and Ruins (Roguelike Dungeons, Doomlike Dungeons, Ruins): If you do brave the dangers of the Overworld, you'll find rewards waiting for you out there. Dungeons and other surprising finds will ensure there's always something new to explore around the corner.
Co-Operative Mining (Multi Mine): Blocks don't go instantly back to full health when you stop picking them. Work together mining the same block for greater speed.
All this plus some of your favourite tried and true mods: Blood Magic, Botania, Ender IO, Extra Utilities, Forestry, Gendustry, Iron Chests, Psi, RFTools, Soul Shards: The Old Ways, and Tinker's Construct.
