Vara Quest 2 iss a focused modpack, instead of trying to enhance all facades of vanilla Minecraft it nhance the gameplay on the three playstyles: exploration, technology and building.
Exploration
- · If a player chooses to explore, they should not find themselves in a barren wasteland.
- · World Gen enhancements for overworld are preferable to new dimensions.
- · World Gen enhancements to overworld surface are preferable to underground ones, but both should exist.
Technology
- · Technology mods should have minimal overlap between use-cases, and one should be clearly labelled as the primary one for that function.
- · The process of research and development of technology resources should be as fun as the rewards for doing them.
Building
- · Item variety should not impact user experience, e.g. new log types should allow for the construction of a boat or a chest or be used as a replacement for a vanilla one in other recipes.
- · Whenever possible new building blocks should be integrated in the World Gen so structures in the world are as capable of looking nice as player-built ones.
