A pack I made to introduce my friends to Modded Minecraft. 

A lightweight-ish pack designed to bring in a lot of fan-favorite mods without destroying the feel of vanilla minecraft. This means no village overhauls (although new ones have been added), minimal tech mods (only featuring enderIO, mob grinding utils, Mekanism, Dark Utilities, and Botania), and an emphasis on both exploring and creative building.
AE2 has been excluded as to force a proper consideration of storage systems and the Aether has been excluded simply because this is a pack meant for me and my friends, and none of us really explore the Aether anymore or care to experience it. Sophisticated Storage and Backpacks has been brought in, in place of AE2. 
There is also no corpse mod, as this pack is intended to be played with Keep Inventory. The pack is fairly difficult and thus there is no expectation to pick up your corpse 100 times. 

As a note, I've included Better Combat, Simply Swords, Cray's gun mod and Iron's Spells and Spellbooks, to give some variety to combat; as well as the Epic Knights Mod and Better Silver; providing a new variety with skeletons and zombies now varying in gear on hard difficulty and the large arsenal of new Silver weapons being effective against them and other undead. Baubles and Artifacts should provide some fun customization and rewards for exploration as well. 

The end goal of the pack is ultimately to fully experience the Cataclysm mod (an appropriate difficulty level for some of the mods included), build out towns, build new farms and enjoy the multiplayer experience together - the normal goal of vanilla Minecraft. Legendary weapons ensure exclusive items for those who wish to seek them out, but ultimately the pack is unguided and is intended to encourage the player to find the benefits and best strategies of each combat style (Melee, Bows, Guns, and Magic), Explore whatever they wish, and ultimately self govern in line with vanilla minecraft. 

As a note, Grimoire of Gaia has been included as a fun gag between friends. If you wish to play the pack without dealing with the mobs, are playing with younger players, or wish to broadcast the modpack, I suggest going into the mod version and changing it to "Streamer Friendly Edition".
