What's new
The Valley — Sunlit Valley Expanded 1.2
**Updating from SVE 1.1 · Society: Sunlit Valley 4.0.6 → 4.1.5A**
More adventure, more risk, and more reasons to come home to the valley. This update brings repeatable dragon encounters, Adventurers Guild mastery bounties, expanded quests, and a substantial integration pass across SVE's machines, magic, food and resources.
Society: Sunlit Valley update
Updated the base pack from **4.0.6 to 4.1.5A**, incorporating the original team's intervening content updates and fixes. Highlights include expanded Cozy Cafe systems, village and building-shop improvements, butterfly and moth breeding, fish-pond management improvements, and Numismatics account and leaderboard fixes.
These upstream features and fixes are the work of **Chakyl and the Society: Sunlit Valley contributors**. See the [original pack's release history](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/society-sunlit-valley/files) for the full upstream changelogs. SVE's intentional balance changes remain in place.
Dragons, adventure and recovery
- Added **Dragon's Den**, bringing a repeatable dragon encounter to the Overworld. The End remains closed.
- Added **Death's Due**, introducing the possibility of losing belongings during your recovery and buying them back through a Guild Agent.
- Added the Guild Agent profession for vanilla villagers using the Adventurers Guild desk.
[NOTE: The Guild Desk is currently only available in Creative or /give]
Quests and the Adventurers Guild
- Added SVE quest pages covering Butchery, Iron's Spells, Create Metallurgy and Dragon's Den.
- Added **The Less Peaceful Experience** beside the original welcome guidance, explaining SVE's approach to adventure, preparation and more punishing deaths.
- Added guidance for Death's Due and Guild recovery.
- Added **22 one-time Guild mastery bounties**, with substantial hunting goals and themed equipment rewards. Sign the mastery board to begin tracking your hunts.
- Removed selected bounty relics from Relic Troves and disabled crafting routes for bounty equipment.
- Expanded **Collector's Caravan** quests, including a final objective to observe a creature brought back through DNA research.
Butchery, cooking and shipping
- Updated Butchery and integrated its dragon materials with the new Den encounter.
- Gave the two meat-processing machines clearer roles: the **Mincer** handles beef and lamb mince; the **Meat Grinder** handles scraps and produces sausages with its attachment.
- Updated sausage meals to use Butchery sausage.
- Consolidated overlapping minced-meat and cheese ingredients. New Bitterballen cheese production is disabled, with recipes accepting existing pack cheeses.
- Rebalanced selected prepared and fried foods around minimum ingredient costs, while retaining the intended Butchery shipping prices.
- Added a Botania mana-infusion route from **Butchery bottled blood to Iron's blood vials**.
- Removed the smithing template from Magic Wishbone rewards. Butcher's Coin rewards remain unchanged.
Metallurgy and Create
- Added **dirty and clean Bismuth and Lead dust**, processing chains and washing byproducts.
- Expanded casting and recycling support, including Void Steel ingots, sheets and casings.
- Standardized molten Lead on Create Metallurgy's fluid and removed the unwanted Lead multiplication route.
- Updated spotted Glance filling to use **250 mB** of molten Lead.
- Removed the unwanted gold-based Iridium recipe and unused molten-metal options.
- Standardized Iridium nuggets on Oreganized and removed Create Deco coin stacks from progression.
- Removed the redundant liquid Echo recipe and added Echo block melting for **810 mB**.
- Refined cross-mod machine recipes and removed the redundant aircraft propeller recipe.
- Recoloured selected Netherite tools and materials to match the pack's Iridium theme.
Magic, slimes and exploration
- Integrated Iron's ink progression with Society inks, Create mixing, liquid experience and Botania petals.
- Added an antique-ink conversion and a new common-ink recipe. Higher ink tiers require increasingly demanding processing; scroll-to-ink recycling remains available.
- Increased portal-frame investment with Echo Ingots and added a Prismatic Shard requirement to Divine Pearls.
- Added Slimes and Slimebooks and Deeper and Slimier, with integration into the pack's existing progression and Deep Dark resources.
- Ink plorts provide common ink, with a 5% chance for uncommon ink. Added acquisition guidance, Slime Ticket support and shipping values for the new slime content.
- Reduced fish-pond reward quantities and removed relic rewards from ponds.
- Corrected Collector's Caravan spawn rules and added acquisition trades through Society's shop systems.
- Hid Iron's scroll variants and Chisels & Bits block bits from JEI to reduce clutter.
Presentation and distribution
- New menu, loading-screen and pack-icon artwork by *spacelizards* and *Reevy*, Thank you both!
