When I first started coming up with a modpack, the sort of SMP-like server I used to moderate had just closed its doors, the Content Creator in charge of it deciding to move on with her life and deal with more important stuff. However, with my builder feelings and my past love for Minecraft, I made the first version of The Ultimate Box about 3 years ago.
After having a lot of fun with my friends using the modpack, the server closed due to financial issues and classes restarting, so we all had stopped to play. I recently came back to Minecraft after watching a bunch of Simulation contests on YouTube as well as extreme building challenges and of course, Lifesteal SMP.
All those concepts brought a flame back inside me and I decided to pull up another modpack to play with friends, this time hopefully on a long-term basis so that we can have fun for a long while. For those who've come here to get a modpack that had an interesting name, sadly this is not an overly serious modpack. As much as I have put a lot of my time coming up with mod choices, configuration, and a bunch more, this is simply a way for me to have fun with friends, and not a tryhard modpack like others could be.
Bottom line is, this modpack is mainly based on Fantasy and Medieval era, with a bunch of structures, bosses, and some cool weaponry. I wanted a pack that would take a long time to finish the game entirely, rather than go for full on magic and overpowered gear with automated redstone quarries and all.

In this modpack, you will be placed into a freshly generated map with hundreds of biomes and structures, from various common structures like wells and balloons, to full on temples, mansions and houses. However, such structures won't always be friendly! Some of them spawn as dungeons, of various sizes and difficulty, from small huts, to ships or even giant builds. Those contain mobs to fight, some being quite powerful, and great loot to obtain.
To make the experience more enjoyable, royalty-free medieval-themed music will play as you roam around the map and even across dimensions with changing ambiance sounds to fit situations you're into. Inside caves, noises will resonate, inside water, the sound will be troubled. Jumping into water will make it splash out like in-real life, and various blocks and biomes possess some visual effects that fit their theme to make it more lively to travel around.
Not satisfied yet? Well here is more, dungeons are fun, but soulslike mobs and bosses are more challenging. So on you will be able to confront dozens of bosses for them items, from armors to accessories and even weapons. A lot more weapon types are added to the weaponry so you can fight in all styles you like, with modified animations that make it visually better to look at. To make the experience more immersive, getting hit will make your camera shake in the direction you've been hit from! Not feeling like getting hit at all? That is also possible. While shields are a great deal in Minecraft that allow you to block most damage or at least lower their power, why not just dodge? Coming in, Dark Souls-type rolls! To the press of a button you can start to roll away in any direction to dodge some hits and stay safe.
Automatic Install (recommended):

This is the easiest way to install The Ultimate Box² :
- Link your Minecraft game installation folder
- Go to Browse Modpacks
- Find The Ultimate Box² and click install
- Click play to boot up the game
- There you go! Enjoy!
Anyone moving from the Twitch launcher to the CurseForge's launcher will still automatically keep all profiles and modpacks.
Manual Install (Advanced Users Only):
FABRIC: Please use AT LEAST Fabric version 0.14.12 to use this modpack properly. It should be the latest up-to-date for 1.18.2.
PARAMETERS: The default 1GB of RAM that is allocated is NOT enough. I recommend allocating 3 to 4GB's of RAM to be sure it runs smoothly.
You can do this with the following process:
- Go to Launch Options
- Enable JVM Arguments
- Change "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx4G"
Here is a good example for JVM arguments:
-Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M
FILES: Make sure there is nothing in your Mods or Config folders, then copy the folders over from this modpack into your Minecraft directory.
As stated before, this modpack is far from done or a full release. I am editing, adding and removing stuff from the modpack occasionally to fit what me and my friends feel like using on our server, because that modpack was originally made for us to have fun together.
However you're free to come on Discord to provide suggestions to us!
Using Fabric is not the smartest choice I have done, but sadly Forge didn't have as many mods as I wanted that were interesting enough to stay on that version.
