TerraFirma Rebirth 2 — From Stone Knapping to the Moon

TerraFirma Rebirth 2 is the next generation of the long-term survival modpack built on TerraFirmaCraft: The Next Generation and nearly all of its known addons, enriched by Create, Immersive Engineering and a carefully curated set of companion mods. Our goal is unchanged: make every mod's native gameplay fit naturally into the TerraFirmaCraft world — no feature left behind, no recipe left unusable.

Rebuilt from the ground up on Minecraft 1.21.1 + NeoForge, Rebirth 2 takes the journey far beyond the industrial age: physics-simulated airships, deep-sea exploration, programmable computers — and a space program whose final destination is the Moon.

Which version should I play?

• TerraFirma Rebirth 2 (1.21.1 NeoForge) — the official mainline. Latest release: 1.0.0 (content-identical successor of the former 4.1.24-hotfix2). Actively developed, recommended for all new players and long-term worlds.
• TerraFirma Rebirth Classic (1.20.1 Forge) — the classic line, latest stable 3.2-release, community edition 3.4.2-ce-release. Maintained by the community under official endorsement. Saves are not cross-compatible with Rebirth 2.

1. Seven Eras of Progression

• A complete mainline spanning Primal, Stone, Copper, Bronze, Iron and Steel — each age gated by real TerraFirmaCraft technology: knapping, pottery, charcoal pits, bloomeries, blast furnaces and beyond.
• Past steel, the road continues into electricity, aviation and the space age — the pack's ultimate goal is the lunar landing, which unlocks true endgame content like levitation stone.

2. A Full Quest Book, Your Guide Through Everything

• Hundreds of hand-written quests across dozens of chapters, covering every mechanic, every age and every mod in the pack. If something works differently from vanilla TFC, the book tells you.
• Fully localized in English, 简体中文, Español and Русский — switch languages freely, the whole book follows.
• Includes a "Read Me First" chapter with optimization guidance for low-end and integrated-GPU players.

3. Hardcore Survival, the TFC Way

• Manage health, hunger, thirst, body temperature (Cold Sweat), seasons and food preservation in a dynamic, living world that actually wants you dead.
• Increased health pool, more dangerous wildlife, real climate. Adapt — or respawn.

4. Life on the Frontier

• A full homestead experience woven into TFC: farming, animal husbandry, beekeeping, brewing and winemaking, an extensive cuisine system, and even running your own tavern.
• Building, decoration and artisan crafts for those who play the long game.

5. Deep Tech Integration — Create & Immersive Engineering, the TFC Way

• The full Create suite, integrated into TFC progression: power machinery, stress & transmission networks, moving contraptions, fluid transport, and trains & logistics.
• Immersive Engineering and a dedicated electrical engineering age: power grids, factory automation and complete mineral processing lines — all built from TFC materials. Andesite alloy is a real alloy here, smelted from molten rock and cast iron.
• No floating, disconnected tech trees — everything is gated, explained and earned.

6. Aeronautics & Cosmonautics

• Build physics-simulated ships and airships: lift off with hot-air balloons, propeller planes and steam airships, then sail the skies of TerraFirma.
• Push onward into rocket engineering — the final destination is the Moon.
• CC: Tweaked computers integrate with your space program, including exclusive red-steel and blue-steel turtle upgrades you won't find anywhere else.

7. Exploration Beyond the Overworld

• Descend into The Beneath, TFC's perilous underground dimension.
• Dive the ocean depths with deep-sea exploration content — submarines included.

8. TFC-Style Enchanting & Voxy Vistas

• A custom enchanting system built to fit the TFC world — its own enchanting table, exclusive enchantments, and bookshelves that actually work the TFC way.
• Voxy distant-terrain rendering is built in and enabled by default (running on NeoForge through the Roxy translation layer) — the mountains of TerraFirma have never looked this good, right out of the box.

9. Original Soundtrack

• An exclusive original soundtrack composed for this modpack, dynamically enhancing every biome and moment of your journey.

10. Community, Open Source & Official Servers

• TFCR is created and maintained by the Minecraft Community of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, with contributions from an active player base.

Requirements

• TFCR 2 (1.21.1): 8 GB RAM or more recommended with Voxy on (default); 6 GB is enough if you disable Voxy in Settings > Video Settings. Low-end / integrated-GPU players: see the optimization guide in the quest book's "Read Me First" chapter.
• TFCR Classic (1.20.1): minimum 3 GB, 4 GB or more recommended.

License Notes

• You may play, stream, record and create derivative content with this modpack freely.
• The pack's custom localization may be reused for any non-commercial purpose.
• Do not use this modpack for commercial servers, and do not redistribute the TFCR original soundtrack outside of this pack — the OST is published exclusively on NetEase Cloud Music.
