🧟The epidemic changed everything, cities have fallen, and now you must fight for survival.🧟
Ten Years later is a post-apocalyptic modpack focused on zombies, technology, exploration, abandoned cities and structures, firearms, and combat.
Explore abandoned cities, underground railway networks, military bases, and forgotten structures. Search for resources and weapons to survive while you fight against the infected and hostile survivors.
The epidemic began when the virus started turning players into zombies in the Minecraft city. Zombies are fast, can destroy glass and doors, and are sensitive to noise, light, and your blood. When they catch you, you will also become a zombie.
ZOMBIES ARE NOT YOUR ONLY PROBLEM. There are also bandits who want to harm you, as well as an army that trusts no one.
🔫Technology & Weapons🔫
Rebuild technology from the remains of civilization.
Use Techguns mod to craft firearms, armor and advanced equipment. Build machines, process resources and develop your technology with the Thermal Series and other tech mods. Every resource has a purpose — from basic metals to rare materials needed for advanced equipment.
🪖Faction system🪖
You are not the only one fighting zombies. Bandits and soldiers are also fighting the epidemic. Soldiers, bandits, and other military units will start defending themselves against zombie attacks. The military, which trusts no one, will even shoot at the player and villagers who are not infected. Bandits hunt villagers.

⚙️Setup (!PLEASE READ!)⚙️
My modpack requires a few things you have to do yourself.
1.Optifine
Optifine is required for the modpack, improves performance, and enables the proper functioning of Tissou's zombie pack. You can download Optifine from the link below.
OptiFine Download
2. Ram
It is recommended to allocate an appropriate amount of RAM for the modpack. Recommended : 4 - 8GB max
3. Texture packs
You need to go to the Minecraft options and enable the two texture packs that are included in the modpack (the order does not matter). They provide new zombie appearances for vanilla as well as Techguns.
4. Creating a world/save.
When you click "create a new world," you will see an entirely new menu. This is the world preset selection menu. there are 4 of them: the default 10 Year Later, Outbreak, Ground Zero, and Vanilla World. To start the game, you must choose 1 of 3 options (I do not recommend playing on the 'vanilla world' preset because there are no cities or BOP biomes there). Each preset affects the appearance of cities as well as the generation of certain structures. Here is a brief and detailed overview of the presets. (Spoiler alert)
Ten Years Later - is a preset featuring overgrown and ruined cities, villages do not generate here (villagers can still be found in structures), Not every chest in city contains loot. This is the default preset and serves as the guiding theme for the modpack.
Outbreak - Preset contains less destroyed and less overgrown cities, it is a preset for people who do not like this type of environment or for whom movement is difficult. Every chest in city has loot, almost every building is in perfect condition, there is no terrain damaged by explosions, and villages are present. This is a preset with an easy level of difficulty.
Metropolis - A preset very similar to "outbreak" but cities appear almost EVERYWHERE (except for some biomes like Swamp, Alps, mountains, etc.), there’s moderate destruction and explosions, and some chests or entire buildings might not have any loot. Due to the frequency of cities having structures like village pyramids, woodland masions are disabled. (villagers can be founds in some structures)
Ground Zero - This is the most difficult preset and is not recommended for new players. The action takes place in the wastelands, and only a few types of biomes appear in the world, with limited resources and loot chests in buildings. Villages do not appear, you start at night, terrain damage occurs frequently and everywhere, and almost every building in the city is seriously damaged. Good luck...
5. Gameplay
This modpack is focused on challenge, and I strongly recommend playing in Hardcore/Hard mode. If you do not wish to, nothing stands in the way of playing in Normal/Easy mode. Before/During the game, I recommend adjusting the keybinds according to your own preferences.
6. Enjoy the gameplay and survive in this brutal world.

🗺️Modpack roadmap🗺️
Hi, as a beginner creator on Curse Forge, I want to develop this pack as long as possible, adding fixes, new mods, etc. Unfortunately, since modders are switching to newer versions (1.19.2, 1.20.1...), there are fewer mods for 1.12.2 than before, but the situation is helped by alternatives and backports. Here's a list of things I would really like to accomplish.
- Adding a quest tree through FTB Quests. I just started working on the quest tree thanks to the FTB Quests mod. I was supposed to add it in the 1.2 update, but I decided to refine it and add it in later updates. The quest tree will help players who have never encountered some of the mods included in this modpack. Of course, it will be optional and not required for progression.
- Better zombies. Right now zombies can only destroy glass and doors (when on hard mode), I would like to expand this to include more blocks. Unfortunately, there are only a few mods that make mobs destroy blocks. One of the candidate is the Epic Siege Mod, but this mod uses very "aggressive mechanics" causing FPS drops and incompatibility between mods like Zombie Awareness, making zombies behave too unnaturally. The another option is Improved Mobs
- Adding a mod for vehicles (cars, etc.). I’d really like to add something that gives the player some cars, etc. At the moment, there are 3 mods I’m looking at. Mr.Crayfish Vehicle Mod is one of the candidates; it has cool car models, lots of types of vehicles, and fun mechanics, but the mod uses its own fuel, which is made from blaze rods and ender pearls. Since pearls are rare in the modpack, even though there are mods that add fuel, like Thermal Expansion (refined fuel), unfortunately the mod doesn’t have an option in the config to change the fuel. Immersive vehicles mod has an option to change fuel, but for some it might be too complicated and not very intuitive for a survival experience, Besides, this mod uses its own materials (steel plates, etc.) which are crafted from vanilla materials (iron), and the modpack is full of things like that. Ultimate car mod is also a candidate, it has a fuel change option and is relatively intuitive, but the car models could be better.
- Improving my texture pack 'tzp and techguns support' by adding zombies and other mobs random textures
- Creating my own addon for Techguns that adds missing recipes for some items. There's a mod in modpack that does it, but I want to do it my own way. (will also be available separately)
