Description
Welcome to TempusFugit
TempusFugit began as a personal modpack built around the Minecraft experience I always wanted: a beautiful world worth exploring, progression that feels earned, and a world large enough to make you wonder what lies beyond the next mountain range.
The pack is designed around exploration, discovery, and a living world inhabited by wildlife, mythological creatures, ancient structures, and dangers that feel like a natural part of the landscape.
Before You Begin
⚠️ IMPORTANT: New players should read the First Time Setup Guide before starting a world.
The full Setup Guide, Configuration Guide, Credits, and Support resources can also be found there.

The World
World generation is vast, beautiful, and full of opportunities for exploration. With the included view-distance enhancements, you can enjoy breathtaking landscapes stretching hundreds of chunks into the distance. The screenshot above was taken with a 512 chunk view distance while Minecraft's render distance was set to just 12.
The surface world is stunning, but it is also dangerous in its own unique way. Exploration is rewarding, with structures rare enough that discovering one feels like a genuine achievement. When you do find one, expect more than the standard vanilla experience.
All screenshots shown use Complementary Unbound shaders with custom settings, unless otherwise stated.
Gameplay
Progression has been reworked to make resources feel more valuable. The path from flint to stone, copper to iron, and eventually Dragonsteel encourages exploration, preparation, and long-term survival. The addition of select farming and cooking mods adds variety without becoming overwhelming, while rare structures provide rewarding discoveries scattered throughout the world's vast and beautiful landscapes.
The Illagers have expanded their society, creating new threats across the world, while abundant wildlife and mythological creatures ensure that not every encounter will be friendly. For those seeking a greater challenge, several mini-bosses and powerful dragons await discovery.
The Endgame
Venture into the reimagined End and discover vast floating landscapes, perilous journeys across the void, and an enhanced encounter with the Ender Dragon.
Have you already encountered a young Dragon or two on the surface during your journey? If so, you've only seen the beginning. Few adventurers ever encounter the elder dragons that seek solitude deep within the world's vast cave systems. This is where your new endgame begins: defeat them, and you might claim a reward that allows you to take to the skies on the back of your own dragon.
Whether you're building a homestead, exploring beyond the next mountain range, or hunting dragons deep underground, I hope you enjoy this world as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Only a relatively small collection of carefully selected mods directly changes the gameplay experience. The remainder consists primarily of performance optimizations, quality of life enhancements, compatibility libraries, and supporting components working together behind the scenes to support the experience, not redefine it.
You might call this pack Vanilla++, I just call it Minecraft my way.
