Welcome to ProFilio

ProFilio (For My Son) began as a personal project to create the Minecraft experience I wanted to share with my son.

The goal was never to reinvent Minecraft or overwhelm it with new content. Instead, every addition was selected to preserve the core vanilla experience while refining nearly every aspect of the game. The result is a Vanilla+ pack that remains instantly familiar, while offering a world that is larger, more beautiful, more immersive, and more rewarding to explore.

Quality of life improvements, performance optimizations, gameplay enhancements, higher resolution textures, and Shaders work together to create an experience that feels both familiar and entirely new.

Before You Begin

Following the recommended setup will allow Chunky & Voxy to build distant terrain, providing the breathtaking long-distance views ProFilio was designed to deliver.

First Launch

Recommended: Before beginning your Survival world, take the time to pre-generate your world with Chunky. This allows Voxy to build its distant terrain, letting you experience the breathtaking long-distance views ProFilio was designed to deliver. Skipping this step significantly reduces the visual impact of the pack and is not recommended.

Note: Large-radius world generation can take several hours depending on your hardware.

1. Create your new world in Creative mode.
    (or switch in-game by holding F3 then pressing F4.)

2. Disable any shader pack before beginning world generation (recommended).

3. Freeze time:

/gamerule advance_time false

4. Freeze weather:

/gamerule advance_weather false

5. Run Chunky:

/chunky radius 512c
/chunky start

Replace 512c with your preferred pre-generation radius (include c for chunks) if desired.

6. Allow Chunky to finish generating the world.

7. Import the generated terrain into Voxy:

/voxy import current

8. Re-enable:

/gamerule advance_time true
/gamerule advance_weather true

9. Switch to Survival mode (by holding F3 then pressing F4).

10. Re-enable your preferred shader pack and begin your adventure.

Note: Voxy will continue building distant terrain in the background as you explore. If you later discover a location you'd like to call home, you can repeat these steps to pre-generate and import a new area centered on your new location.

The Experience

ProFilio was designed for players who love vanilla Minecraft but want the world to feel richer, more immersive, and more rewarding to explore.

World generation has been expanded to create breathtaking landscapes, larger cave systems, and enhanced versions of the structures you already know. Performance improvements working quietly behind the scenes allow those distant vistas to stretch hundreds of chunks beyond Minecraft's normal render distance.

Gameplay remains unmistakably Minecraft. Rather than replacing vanilla mechanics, ProFilio refines them through quality of life improvements, subtle gameplay additions, and immersive environmental enhancements that complement the original game instead of competing with it.

Whether you're building your first shelter, exploring beyond the next mountain range, or simply watching the sunrise from a distant peak, I hope ProFilio lets you rediscover the sense of wonder that made Minecraft special in the first place.

Only a relatively small collection of mods directly changes gameplay. The remainder consists primarily of performance optimizations, visual enhancements, compatibility libraries, and supporting components working together behind the scenes to support the experience, not redefine it.
