Smooth Odyssey 1.2.8 — Dedicated Server

Server Update

• Added a dedicated Fabric 1.20.1 server pack for Smooth Odyssey 1.2.8.
• Prepared for server panels and hosts that support CurseForge / Fabric modpack imports.
• Uses Fabric Loader 0.19.5.
• Default server preset uses 12 view distance and 4 simulation distance.
• Added recommended server JVM configuration with a 6 GB maximum heap preset.

Mod Updates

• Updated Smooth Progression to 1.0.6.
• Updated the server dependency manifest to match Smooth Odyssey 1.2.8.
• Includes the latest gameplay, world generation, structure, combat, progression, and multiplayer-compatible mod updates from the main 1.2.8 release.

Dedicated Server Compatibility

• Removed Enhanced Block Entities Reloaded from the server manifest.
• Removed Shut Up MCD from the server manifest.
• These mods are client-only and are no longer downloaded or loaded by dedicated servers.
• Fixed a dedicated-server startup crash caused by Enhanced Block Entities attempting to access Minecraft client-only classes.
• Server installation no longer relies on compatibility workarounds to keep those client-only mods loaded.

Server Files

• Added dedicated server startup scripts for Windows and Linux.
• Added server-specific JVM arguments and configuration.
• Added server installation and preparation documentation.
• Includes server.properties and an unaccepted eula.txt for clean server installations.
• Client-only settings, resource packs, and unnecessary UI files are excluded from the server package.

Important

• This server pack is for Minecraft Java Edition with Fabric.
• It is not compatible with PocketMine-MP / Bedrock server software.
• Android players can still connect when running the Java version of the modpack through a compatible Java launcher.
