Smooth Odyssey

Smooth Odyssey is an action-packed RPG modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 built on top of the Fabulously Optimized framework. Designed with performance as its core priority, Smooth Odyssey brings a heavy, feature-rich RPG experience similar to Prominence to players on low-end devices without sacrificing high frame rates or stability.

By carefully tuning performance mods alongside deep progression systems, players can enjoy expansive worlds, diverse combat mechanics, and unique transformations on almost any system.

Core Features and Gameplay Mechanics

Optimized Performance Base

Built directly upon Fabulously Optimized (utilizing Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, and Krypton), the engine is trimmed and tuned to deliver maximum FPS, low memory usage, and smooth multiplayer tick rates while running heavy content mods.

Class Selection and Attribute Progression

From the moment you start your journey, choose from a wide array of starting classes including Paladins, Archers, Wizards, Bards, and Rogues using More RPG Classes and Spell Engine. Upgrade your character over time with custom skill trees (Puffish Skills) and expanded equipment attributes (Zenith Attributes).

Dark Arts and Mid-Game Transformations

Take your character progression beyond standard gear. Through Bewitchment and Besmirchment, players can undergo powerful transformations in the mid-game:

• Become a Vampire to gain night vision, speed, and blood-draining abilities.
• Transform into a Werewolf for raw physical power and agility.
• Embrace the path of a Lich to master dark magic and undead minions.

Dynamic Combat and Weaponry

Combat is overhauled via Better Combat, Simply Swords, and Souls-like Weaponry. Execute weapon swings, parries, and combat rolls while wielding unique weapon types like Scythes, Claymores, and Greatswords with special abilities and high-tier enchantment scaling.

Varied Mobs, Bosses, and Factions

Face an array of new threats and allies across the world:

• Hunt or fight dynamic wildlife and magical creatures from Naturalist and Mobs of Mythology.
• Confront elite threats, mutated monsters, and undead variants from Mutant Monsters, Rotten Creatures, and Illager Invasion.
• Challenge world bosses in custom arenas using AdventureZ, Aquamirae, and Bosses of Mass Destruction.

World Exploration and Structure Overhauls

Explore an overhauled world powered by Terralith, Regions Unexplored, Promenade, and The Bumblezone. Structures are redesigned using YUNG's entire suite (Better Dungeons, Mineshafts, Ocean Monuments, Nether Fortresses, and Strongholds) alongside Dungeons Arise and Sky Villages to ensure every journey is filled with loot and danger.

Technology and Crafting Integration

Automation and base-building remain accessible through Create, combined with expanded culinary options from Farmer's Delight and various addon integrations.
