Smooth Classes

An RPG class & skill-tree system with 10 specialisations, signature abilities, Ascendancy, summons, mounts, spear combat and spell synergies. Pick a class. Regret nothing. Probably.

Smooth Classes

Smooth Classes turns Minecraft combat into a proper RPG class system built around branching skill trees, class specialisations, signature abilities, and Ascendancy.

Start by shaping your character through the base Strength, Magic, and Agility paths, then commit to one of 10 specialisations with its own mechanics, passives, active abilities, upgrades, and playstyle.

This is not a mod where every class is just +5% damage in a different font.

Well... there is damage.

There is just also a flying Hippogryph, a permanent book full of dead mobs, blood rain, spear momentum, orbital hammers, giant magic beams, and several other completely reasonable balance decisions.

Classes

Avenger — From Corpses We Arise

You do not simply summon random undead because you found some Rotten Flesh in a chest.

That would be fraud.

Every supported creature must first be defeated and recorded in your permanent Death List. Recorded souls can then be manifested using their listed ingredients.

Defeat Zombies. Summon Zombies.

Defeat a Warden. Bring the proper material. Summon a Warden.

No, stacking Sculk Catalysts before killing one will not make you a discount Sung Jin-Woo.

Avenger includes:

  • A persistent Death List
  • Soul collection from your own kills and your summons' kills
  • Main-hand and off-hand fusion summon recipes
  • Up to 3 summon charges, recovering one every 20 seconds
  • Aim at your own summon and press the summon key again to recall it, recovering its soul and summon ingredients
  • Curtain Call — detonate one of your own summons
  • Endless Devour — consume weakened enemies and add them directly to the Death List
  • Friendly summon faction AI so your army does not immediately begin a civil war

Rider — Mounted Mastery

Summon your personal steed and fight from the saddle.

Rider focuses on speed, mounted combat and increasingly questionable transportation choices.

The mount progression includes:

Horse → Water Stride → Dread Steed → White Hippogryph

While mounted on your Rider summon, your offensive output is heavily amplified.

Signature paths include:

  • Rider's Charge — steerable mounted impact charge
  • War Aura — battlefield buffs for you and your owned creatures
  • Blazing Hooves — leave a burning trail beneath your mount

Yes, the Hippogryph flies.

No, the horse was apparently not enough.

Lancer — Momentum Spear

Lancer is built around keeping pressure with a spear.

You begin with increased spear damage and build Momentum through successful hits and kills, eventually reaching up to +400% spear damage.

Death resets Momentum, because immortality was not included in the training package.

Signature abilities:

  • Impaling Volley — pierce multiple enemies with copies of your currently held spear
  • Dragon Thrust — launch through enemies in your aimed direction
  • Spearstorm — rapid area-control spear pulses

Berserker

A melee class powered by Rage, reckless aggression and a questionable relationship with the health bar.

Deal and receive damage to build Rage, trading safety for increasing offensive pressure.

Signatures include Rampage, Bloodthirsty and Berserking.

Your HP bar is not empty.

It is simply becoming motivational.

Assassin

A high-mobility class focused on Stealth, evasion and precision attacks.

Assassin rewards low armor, clever positioning and attacking before your enemy has completed the important task of noticing you exist.

Archer

A ranged specialist centered on bows, mobility and elemental ranged combat.

Build around accurate projectile pressure while making use of ranged bonuses and class-specific utility.

Saber

A holy warrior that combines melee offense, protection and healing power.

Ideal for players who looked at the healer and said:

"Okay, but what if the healer also had a sword?"

Some Saber content integrates with Paladins & Priests.

Ruler

A support-focused class built around healing, protection and carrying the burdens of allies.

Ruler excels at keeping a group alive while turning support mechanics into meaningful battlefield power.

Some Ruler content integrates with Paladins & Priests.

Caster

A destructive spellcaster built for players who consider physical durability an optional stat.

Caster trades martial capability for stronger magical specialization and access to devastating spell-oriented builds.

Glass cannon?

Correct.

The important word is cannon.

Foreigner

A hybrid warrior that mixes melee combat and spellcasting.

Foreigner is designed for players who cannot decide between sword and magic and correctly conclude that the answer is both.

Ascendancy

Finishing your class progression opens the Ascendancy Tree, an endgame layer containing powerful abilities and passive upgrades.

Ascendancy abilities continue scaling at major thresholds:

  • 30+ Ascendancy unlocks enhanced forms
  • 60+ Ascendancy unlocks significantly stronger effects

Examples include localised Blood Rain, massive Arcane projectiles, orbital weapons, defensive miracles, catastrophic spell effects and other things that definitely passed an imaginary workplace safety inspection.

Smooth Progression Integration

Smooth Classes can run by itself.

It also supports Smooth Progression, which can take control of the broader RPG progression flow:

Base Tree → Selected Class → Ascendancy

When Smooth Progression is installed, it becomes the progression authority for unlocking the later stages.

Smooth Progression is an optional companion mod for Smooth Classes, while Smooth Progression itself requires Smooth Classes in its compatible release.

Smooth Classes requires:

  • Fabric API
  • Puffish Skills

Feedback

This is the first public release, so bug reports and balancing feedback are welcome.

If you discover a build that deals twelve billion damage because you combined six different RPG mods, that is:

  1. probably hilarious,
  2. possibly not entirely my fault,
  3. still worth reporting.

Have fun.
