In development - not complete
A magic/exploration themed modpack, with an emphasis on simple functionality and mechanics and playability by younger players or people who find mega-modpacks too saturated with gee-gaws and doo-dads. I'm hoping to get some quests in there to tie it all together, and I still need to evaluate some more magic mods. The main thrust of the backstory in development is the player as a blockhead who has left home to seek a magical life in a slightly more built up part of the world than where they were born. Villages are everywhere, as are magical ruins, wizard towers and more.
Currently includes a small number of magic mods, quality of life mods, and RPG/adventure themed mods - the charismatic megafauna that are definitely in are:
Magic
AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs
Baubles
Electroblob's Wizardy
Magic Mirror
Twilight Forest
Waystones (set to generate in villages 100%)
WorldGen/Mechanix
Backpacks!
Corail Tombstone
Hwyla
Just Enough [Items/Resources/VillagersPattern Banners]
Mo' Villages
Quick Leaf Decay
Random Things (some features that don't fit the theme may be disabled in the future)
Ruins (includes a large number of ruins that are currently being evaluated - ruins that don't fit probably will be removed)
Serene Seasons
Under Consideration
Botania - It adds a lot, but I need to check it out by itself
DimensionalDoors - Not sure how I feel about this mod. I like the idea, but in my play testing it seems hard to figure out and pretty high risk for a player that's not ready for it (a grave mod doesn't help when you've died in the void, since retrieving your grave kills you). Probably not going in due to challenge level/complexity - also, in the end I'm not sure what it adds beyond small pocket dimension challenges (and that creepy dark dimension, which -- cards on the table -- is super creepy and well done)
Genera - Need to evaluate
Ice & Fire -- looks cool, but it's big. Only just started looking at it.
Roots -- Need to evaluate
Thaumcraft 6 - this is a toughie. I really like TC a lot, but it's pretty complicated (and also not finished yet)
