Description

SeriousEngineering is a pack that focuses on long distance resource gathering and building a successful colony.

Main Features:

Biome specific resources
Introduction quests to guide players through some of the changes
In-game shop and global server marketplace for buying and selling goodies
Large ore veins contain an ore block that can be mined indefinitely
Colonies that can gather and process special resources such as ores the player can't aquire themselves
Plenty of exploration and looting in form of dungeons from several mods, such as roguelike dungeons, chocolate quest, and techguns
Stack size of items has been reduced to prevent players from just gathering a lot of materials and transporting it themselves
Machines and power gen causes pollution, however green options are available as well
Because i can't live without a bit of magic, Thaumcraft and some addons are in there as well. Golems can be really useful for transporting items

I've made this mostly for myself and my let's play series, but i figured i'll share it here too for people interested in a similar pack!

If you are having issues with performance, here are some things to try:

Install Optifine - or -
Install Better FPS and test different algorithms
If you are using an AMD card, disable texture animations in the foamfix config
Make sure to allocate around 6GB of RAM
Reduce View Distance to 8
Remove any or all of these: Better Foliage, Sound Filters, Blur, Dynamic Surroundings
