Savaru IV — Kohtalon Mies · 2.0.0

The "2.0" version bump is earned. This release is the first time the modpack is genuinely built around in-house Savaru systems — your dungeons, your leveling, and your control scheme are now native parts of the pack instead of borrowed mods bolted on.

🗡️ Three Massive New Systems

1. Savaru's Dungeonology — your own dungeon framework

  • Entry Tickets drop from regular mobs (~6.6% chance) and are now the only way to step through dungeon portals. Wandering into a Better Archeology or MineCells portal without a ticket? Locked. The pack now decides when you're ready to delve.
  • Press O anywhere to pop the Dungeon Menu — pick a theme, configure difficulty, summon a portal.
  • Hold ` (grave/tilde) to bring up the brand-new Server Scoreboard showing your party + every other player on the server with level, kill count, and total damage dealt.
  • Built-in Party HUD is on by default — even when you're not inside a dungeon, you'll see your teammates' health and stats on screen.
  • A new Dungeonology chapter has been added to the FTB Quest Book.

2. Savaru's Growthology — replacing the old leveling backbone

  • Press C to open the new Skills screen.
  • 300-level cap with 2 skill points per level.
  • 50+ skills covering attack, defense, crafting, gathering, magic, ranged, and exploration — fully driving your vanilla & combat attributes.
  • Tightly synced with Worldology progress, so your world tier and your character level reinforce each other.

3. Savaru's KeybindSync — automatic control-scheme switching

  • The pack now ships with two preset control schemes (Click-to-Move and WASD) that swap automatically based on context.
  • Default: Click-to-Move inside dungeons, WASD in first-person open world.
  • No more remapping a dozen keys when you change activities.

⚔️ New Combat Mod: Spellblades and Such

New weapons that blend melee and spellcasting — adds the Monkey Staff and integrates fully with the Affixology system, so spellblades can roll the full affix tree like any other weapon. New ephemeral attribute definitions are wired into AttributeFix.

📈 Affixology — Worldology-Tier Quality Curves

Affix rolls now respect your Worldology tier:

Tier Common rolls dominate Top-end rolls possible?
Novice 70% Common Almost never
Adventurer 30% Common Rare
Survivor Mid-tier dominant Strange starts appearing
Hero Rare → Epic spread Strange/Unrivaled occasional
Veteran Even higher Top tiers regular
Lord Epic→Legendary heavy Strange consistently
Ruler Top 4 tiers dominate Strange/Unrivaled common

There is also a weapon-level gate so you can't slap a Mythic affix on a Level 5 sword:

  • Epic — requires character level 1
  • Legendary — 31
  • Mythic — 51
  • Unrivaled — 71
  • Strange — 101

Your character level now genuinely controls what gear power you can wield.

➖ Mods Removed (3)

  • Extended Hitbox — its function is now handled natively elsewhere.
  • Hwijin's RPG — superseded by Savaru's Growthology. Your skills now live there.
  • Rival Trespassers — the new combat content arrives via Spellblades and Such instead.

If you were mid-save and relied on any of these directly, hold your save before upgrading.

🎨 HUD & UX Polish

  • Party HUD overlay anchor moved to right-center of the screen by default (was bottom-center) — far less likely to overlap your hotbar.
  • Worldology HUD repositioned to the lower-right area.
  • Blur effect suppressed on the Growthology Skills screen — open your skill tree, the world stays sharp behind it.
  • Interval Bow gets a new toggle for Instant Interval Mode (charge-style bows that release the moment they're ready).
  • Inventory rules updated so the new Juggernaut Legs (RPG Minibosses) take the right 2×3 footprint instead of overlapping armor slots.

🐛 Compatibility Fixes

  • RAS attribute scripts now write both the legacy generic.* and the new minecraft:* attribute keys, eliminating sporadic "attribute not found" warnings on 1.21.1 builds.
  • FTB Quest Book: the old standalone "Party" chapter has been removed — party management is now handled natively by Dungeonology, not by a quest-book wrapper.

⚠️ Upgrade Notes

  1. This is a breaking-feel update — your character's skill numbers will look different the first time you log in. That's the LevelZ tuning + Growthology takeover, not a bug.
  2. Back up your save before launching 2.0.0. Removing Hwijin's RPG can clear stale skill state.
  3. Rebind reminder — if you've been using C or O for other things, the new Savaru defaults will claim them. Adjust under Options → Controls → Savaru.
  4. Multiplayer: everyone must update together. Dungeonology portals will not negotiate with old clients.
  5. First boot will be slower than usual while Growthology builds its skill index.

🙏 Acknowledgements

Massive thanks to everyone who playtested the 1.4.x line and pushed for the dungeon system, the unified scoreboard, and the keybind auto-switch. 2.0.0 is the version where the pack stops being a curated collection and starts being its own thing.
