After seeing how much of a failure a popular modpack was, when it came to integrating mods, I decided to do it in a way which seemed better, in my mind.
This pack is still WIP, and it will soon have magic mods added. For now, it is only tech, and only about 30% finished; in terms of integration.
When playing the pack you can expect that the lesser used mods will be pretty much "vanilla", however, as you get to some of the more common mods/"over powered" mods, you will see that recipes start to become much more tweaked.
There are a few mods which haven't been touched as of the most recent release, as I either have not had time to edit them, or as I would like them to be the "main" line of progression you, the user, would take. However, just because I'm giving a road to take, doesn't mean you can't stop for a snack, or take a detour down another path.
Mod suggestions are always welcome. So feel free to leave them in the comment section. If I agree that I will add the mod, expect it by the time the version number increases by 0.2, at the most (e.g. 0.1.1 -> 0.3.0). As it may not be possible for me to fit it in with plans for the next main release.
In respect of this, if you suggest a mod and I do not want it in the pack, whether it's down to a personal preference, or down to the mod being buggy/replicating features, etc. then I will either say no explicitly, or I may not reply to the comment (if I have said no multiple times before).
Before any mod suggestions come in, I would like to say the following mods will NEVER be included:
- Thermal Expansion. There is no need for it to be in the pack with Mekanism and EnderIO in here.
- Tinkers Construct. It's too common, and I would like to see different tools being used.
- Draconic Evolution. It's too OP, and if a PvP server ever used this pack, it would make the game much more fair.
- All other Buildcraft modules. A few have been added so that you can have oil, and refine it, to make your Immersive Engineering diesel generator a main power source. However, that is the only reason BC is included. The quarry will never be added, sorry. You have 2 other quarrying options in the pack.
- JABBA. This one is just because it doesn't make sense to have JABBA and Storage Drawers in the same pack. SD does what JABBA does, but does it a lot better in my opinion.
Hope you enjoy the pack, and look forward to your feedback and hopefully no bug reports (but if you find a bug, do tell me, I don't mind squashing them)
