You wake up in a sealed room, deep underground. Research your way Out!

Research Out is a magic and tech modpack. Every mod, every machine and every spell has to be researched before you can use it. Your world is split into six cavern layers, sealed off from each other with unbreakable Sealstone. Research your way through each seal, dig deeper, and work your way back to daylight.

Every layer is its own world. Start in the Hollow, then push down through the Dripstone Reach, the Fungal Depths, the Crystal Veins and the Magma Core, all the way to the Deep Dark. Each layer has its own caves, ores, mobs and dangers.

Create, Mekanism, Applied Energistics, Ars Nouveau, Malum, Immersive Engineering, Draconic Evolution and many more, each one unlocked through research instead of handed to you. Some old names you might not of played with in a long time this pack includes are Neo Vitae (Blood Magic), Botania, Astral Sorcery, Excessive Utilities (Extra Utilities 2), 

Things worth finding. Every layer has a Strata Vault to clear for a key, bosses waiting in their arenas, and the camps of an expedition that came down before you and never left.

A quest book that shows the way. Over 2,400 quests guide you from punching your first tree to the Grand Thesis, without ever telling you how to play.
