I'm currently working heavily on 2.0, the first official release of Requiem V. Which will include a finalized discord, tons of changes, and finalized quests, skills, etc. Stay tuned :)
Yaaa... 2.0 for Requiem V isn't happening... Though as of 3/17/24, I'm pretty close to finishing something else that I won't say here :) You can actually stay tuned for that and will put it here.

Welcome to the newfound world of Requiem V. Aimed to create a more dynamic experience to modded Minecraft. Along with many familiar mods, Requiem V aims to create a new experience with many familiar and popular mods through 1.12.2 Minecraft. Requiem was created and aimed to recreate MMO/RPG elements within Minecraft. Redoing and adding many new elements to Minecraft through the use of mods. Including a few common aspects such as dimension, weapons, tools, structures, and leveling systems.

Requiem V is my personal attempt at improving Minecraft as I saw it. It aims to recreate MMO/RPG elements and aspects, which range from new content to more linear progression, and even quests. Starting off with features such as the leveling system, it locks items and possibly places until you get to a certain point, forcing you down to tools like iron instead of diamond. And with a ton more equipment and places, you'll find yourself in a lot more danger (not RLCraft-level danger). New structures, mobs, and environments may challenge you along your nomad journey, or you could stay at spawns. Maybe even bring a friend along the way (or play on the official server [yet to come]). Requiem is yours to conquer and experience, without the hassle. Now go kill a rabbit before I make you.

The Short Answer
- Five new dimensions, with tons of biomes, weapons, unique enemies, and juicy loot.
- Overhauls to existing dimensions. Both the Nether and End get nice new coats of paint, with the overworld being full of vegetation and life.
- The leveling system. Locks you behind stats and attributes, forcing you to keep using that iron pick when you find diamonds. Though as you progress you can access new skills which help in their respective categories.
- The class system. Provides perks and attributes to the fundaments of Minecraft, even in today's versions.
- Refreshed visuals, by using the provided resource packs, most mods are updated to 1.14 textures, if they exist in the Overworld, Nether, or End. Plus a few other packs for fun.
- Tons of new environments. With the help of Biomes O' Plenty, Oh the Biomes You'll Go, and many others. You can find many, many new biomes, with new items, structures, places, and people to meet.
- And with environments, an entire fleet of new tools, blocks, equipment, and weaponry to play around with. That can include wings, and balloons (Wait, what?) To new anvils and furnaces.
- Each mod added is "tested" before being added, meaning no overlays should exist within mods, and each has been configured to match the pack's intended purpose, whether small or big.

The Abyss/Abyss Nether
The Abyss is a dark and ominous version of our beloved overworld and nether. The only light that emits from these dimensions is from the fauna found within them. These dimensions are copycats of the originals, with similar terrain and plant life. But the real threat lies in the creatures, new versions of the normal counterparts will appear in these dimensions, and are still as hostile as ever. And with most dimension mods, you can find new tools, structures, and mobs scattered throughout. But be careful while exploring, you never know what's hiding in the depths...
The Aether (2)
*Man the Aether mod is quite old... who knew it would last this long. Also this mod is still highly in development, so the Aether is very minimal as of right now (Aether II is being used, not the original)
The Aether is that of euphoria... set on floating islands high up in the sky with massive gaps in between them. So riding Aerwhales (Yes, whales that can fly.) and flying around is going to be your best bet here. The Aether is a quite small dimension, home to a few creatures and fauna, but it manages to amaze you with the beauty of its landscapes and the sort've cuteness of its creatures. Plus it still has some new ores and blocks for you to find, but thats besides the point. Just use the Aether as a get'away... please?
The Midnight
Another creepy dimension? Well here goes! The only way you can find The Midnight is by the rifts found during the night (Who knows why) and getting pulled into this landscape is not fun. The Midnight has an ominous dark atmosphere with creepy crawlers and thunder and lightning howling at you while you tremble in your steps. So while you may want to get out of here, the bounty you'll find is quite the pickings (Maybe not later down the line, but it's got some good stuff!). Now while I haven't seen some of the creatures guarding these weapons, be careful as you tread through this ominous land you were pulled into.
The Twilight Forest
Magic and massive snakes... Sounds pretty magical. The Twilight is a well known dimension from explorers around the world, now if you haven't heard the tales, let me explain. The Twilight has a diverse culture of biomes froms dark forest to snowy tundra's which forever snow. And within these biomes, of course new structures! From the Naga Temples (With the aforementioned giant snake) to the giant Ice Temples and small dungeons scattered around. Creatures in here aren't anything to be fighting though. Without the right gear this dimension is a threat to any wanderer. But the bounty is pretty good. So with the others, make sure to gear up, kill the giant snake, run around find new creatures, bugs, tools, and have some fun :D

Overworld Content
Tons of cool new content, including...
- Biomes O' Plenty, Oh the Biomes You'll Go, and Quark, all add new biomes to the Overworld, with even more mods adding things.
- Yung's Mod adds overhauls to various cave-generated structures, with quark adding many changes to caves
- The umpteen structure mods add many peaceful, and hostile structures placed throughout the world
- Plus much, much, much more that goes too far to explain
Nether Content
The Nether gets a good bit of love here. NetherEX and Better Nether have a good role in adding new biomes and structures. Plus a few mods like Quark help out a good bit. This hell hole gets a good bit of love with Requiem and it helps a lot. So you'll be able to find new towns, some ores, and a bunch of weird alien-like plants around. Plus a few mobs.
End Content
An end overhaul??? Didn't expect this! With Stygian End and End: Reborn, plus a few others like Quark and another mod (cannot find it!). The end gets a bit of a makeover. The first stage, the dragon fight, doesn't get a big improvement but some things will pop up. The second stage, end cities/chorus uglies, gets a few new biomes or some structures, but nothing much. Overall some neat little things here and there

Dungeons
Tons of new dungeons, Some hallways of creepiness with some enemies scattered around, and dragon dens home to big mama dragons. The danger level varies but the loot remains the same, tons of loot is scattered throughout these and makes a good source of XP and items. Some of these dungeons are big with massive underground labyrinths, some are above ground. You'll find many of these scattered around the world so don't be afraid to explore them. THEY MIGHT HOLD DIAMONDS!
Structures
While working on Requiem structure mods were plentiful. There are a ton of new structures to find that may not be as useful as the creepy dungeons. But they can make for some decent base designs or just eye candy for some. Villages get a part in this too with some new huts, but nothing too crazy for them. The structures and villages themselves may have some purpose, so keep a tab on them, but nothing over the top. And with the villages come some new villagers. These guys are actually interactable! You can do your usual trade and kill them, but they have new roles, character models, and some new options for interaction. Highly recommend finding a village and chatting with them. And harvesting their village for bread.

Reskillable
Reskillable is the main culprit behind the linear progress. Reskillable adds eight attribute categories, those being Farming, Gathering, Mining, Attack, Defense, Agility, Magic, and Building. Each has its own set of 2 to 3 unique perks, gained through leveling up in their respective categories. Each category currently has [REDACTED] (50 as of 1.6.3) levels, with some adjustments to the level cap here and there. Increasing an attributes category is as simple as putting in the amount of XP equivalent to its level (3 levels for level 3 and etc, currently trying to make it one or two per). Reskillable adds a lot of forced progression to mods which may be obtained instantly, providing a super nice feel to farming and finishing off a category
Level Up! Reloaded
Level Up! Reloaded is a simple mod, on a world start you get given your class book, where you choose a class and get going. Each class has a unique set of perks that provide bonuses. It works in the same way as Reskillable, as you put XP into the class and spend it on perks. Each class has special perks that are unique to that special class, but you can also obtain special perks from other classes. It's something you usually put to the side because Reskillable exists, but it is most definitely a nice touch.
Recommended Hardware
Computer hardware (Each tested at 10 render distance, and max settings with Optifine)
CPU: | Lowest Tested: i7-4770 | Average FPS: 50fps
GPU: | Lowest Tested: RX550 | Average FPS: 100fps
Ram: Use upwards of 6GB of ram
*Optifine is highly recommended for this pack, please, please use it.
*Use Curseforge's settings, or within Minecraft's JVM arguments (You can find info for these on google) use -Xmx6gb (lets Minecraft use 6gb), and Xmn4gb (Sets the average ram Minecraft will use)
Other than the stated above, just make sure your java version is up to date (1.12 ONLY RUNS ON JAVA 8, NO MORE, NO LESS), and that everything is set properly. Note that Minecraft runs off of a computer's CPU over a GPU, if you have a GPU you can find guides everywhere
Future Updates
Updates will be sporadic in nature, and whenever I feel ready to roll out an update. If you ever have any issues, once the discord is set up, you can report them there.
Current Issues
None as of 1.6.3, or as of [REDACTED] (You'll see)

I'm incredibly lazy, don't know when this will be finished, and I'm currently focused on updating the pack, refer to the dependency tab here, please note the dependency may show mods from older versions, and not just 1.6.3
