Description
Quiet Hours
Quiet Hours is Minecraft as you already know it, made to feel like a place. It adds no new blocks, mobs, biomes or recipes, and world generation stays the same. It changes what you see, hear and feel while you play.
Fog settles into the valleys at dawn. Rain gathers in puddles and runs down walls, and thunder rolls in a beat after the flash. Torches flicker and light the path as you walk. Grass bends in the wind. At night the sky fills with stars, auroras and the occasional shooting star, while fireflies drift over the water.
Every mod in the pack is client-side. You can join vanilla servers with it, and you can open an existing world without converting anything.
🌫️ Weather & Sky
- Haze: realistic fog. Calm mornings fill the valleys, rain leaves a grey mist and swamps stay misty.
- Squall: storms that look like shaders without a shader pack. Puddles gather on the ground, water streams down walls, rain splashes, lightning flashes inside the clouds and thunder arrives a moment later.
- Starlit: thousands of twinkling stars, plus the Milky Way, nebulae, auroras, shooting stars and comets. By day you get sunsets, halos and rainbows.
🔥 Light & Fire
- Wick: smooth dynamic lights. A torch in your hand lights the world around you.
- Firelight: torches, candles and fires flicker like real flames.
🌿 Life & Motion
- Windblown: grass, flowers, crops and leaves sway in the wind and rustle as you walk through them.
- Flutter: butterflies by day and fireflies at night, with colours that change by biome. They're purely visual and add no mobs.
- Swinging Hanging Signs: hanging signs sway in the wind and swing as things brush past them.
- Munch: proper eating and drinking animations.
- Subtle Effects, Falling Leaves, Visuality and Not Enough Animations add small particles and animations to the world.
🎧 Sound
- AmbientSounds: biome ambience, so forests, caves, oceans and nights all sound different.
- Sound Physics Remastered: realistic reverb and muffling. Caves echo and walls dampen sound.
- Presence Footsteps: footsteps that match what you're walking on.
🖥️ A calmer interface
- Linger: loading screens that show the world you're joining, then fade into the game.
- Limn: soft coloured block outlines.
- Easy Crosshair: a crosshair you can design yourself.
- Swivel: free look and a camera that orbits your character, for screenshots and slow walks.
- Heartline, Identify and Lidless add health bars, block and mob info, and a peek inside chests, so you spend less time in menus.
⚙️ Runs smoothly
The pack includes performance mods, so all of this runs at least as well as vanilla: Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, MoreCulling, BadOptimizations and Dynamic FPS. It also includes Continuity, ETF, EMF, 3D Skin Layers, Wavey Capes, AppleSkin, Mouse Tweaks and Xaero's Minimap & World Map.
❓ FAQ
Does it change my world? No. Nothing in the pack adds blocks, items, mobs or terrain. You can remove it at any time and your world stays exactly as it was.
Can I play on servers? Yes. Everything is client-side, so you can join vanilla and Paper servers.
Shaders? The pack is built to look good without shaders, and some of its mods don't work alongside a shader pack, so Iris isn't included.
Which versions? The pack comes in Fabric, Forge and NeoForge versions. A few mods only exist on some loaders, so on Forge and NeoForge they're swapped for an equivalent or left out. For example, Forge uses Embeddium in place of Sodium and Controllable in place of Controlify, and Presence Footsteps is Fabric only.
Slow down and enjoy the world.
