Introduction/Background

This update fixes over 200 bugs, changes over 100 quests, and changes, adds, or removes 33 different recipes. Yet I never thought I would make this; a changelog for the 1.0.2 update.

I thought Questing Mayhem had its final release on March 28th, 2020 with version 1.0. I thought Questing Mayhem had its 2nd final release on May 8th, 2020 with version 1.0.1. After that update, though, people kept reporting bugs. These bugs were relatively simple and nowhere near game-breaking. Most of them were typos made throughout the 3 questbooks. Still, there were upwards of 50 of them. I had never had so many known bugs in my list before. I decided the sensible thing to do was to go back in and fix all of the bugs. When I announced this, discord user Christophu decided to go through the entirety of the 1st and 2nd questbooks and note any misspellings or typos. This was unprompted by anyone. I did not ask for anyone to do this, but they volunteered anyway and discovered almost 200 bugs throughout Questing Mayhem. So when you're playing the pack and thinking "Huh, I haven't seen a typo at all today," think of and thank Christophu. 

I encourage members of the Discord community to personally thank Christophu in whatever channel you deem most appropriate. 

So the long in the short of it is I fixed every known bug in Questing Mayhem. This includes, but is not limited to, excess recipes, typos in quest descriptions, typos in quest titles, invalid rewards, and incorrect information in quest descriptions. While I was looking through the pack, I noticed a few one-off things that I wouldn't consider bugs, but I thought could maybe be tweaked slightly. So I modified a few recipes here and there as well. Didn't do anything too drastic. Didn't make anything easier for the player (or harder for that matter). Just a few small things here and there. Read through the actual changelog if your curious.

200,000 Downloads!

While I was doing that, Questing Mayhem hit its 200,000 download mark! This was completely unexpected on my end and, in truth, I was not prepared for it. Never one to focus on numbers, I didn't even realize Questing Mayhem was approaching 200,000 downloads until someone mentioned the pack had passed the number in the Discord. What an absolutely amazing feeling. I am so happy, grateful, and nervous that so many people are playing a modpack I created. I would tell a bit of a story about why I decided to create Questing Mayhem here (which I have told a few people here & there. If you asked me on Discord, I likely would have told you the story). However, that same story is on the final page of the 3rd questbook in Questing Mayhem. So I'll leave you with that as motivation to finish all 1,411 quests. 

In all seriousness, thank you. Each and every one of you. From the deepest part of my heart. Thank you. Alright. Here's a story for story time. In real life, I'm not the same person you all know me as. My real name's not Mantic. I lead a bit of a different life than you may expect. But, when that life gets tough or there's a dark or frustrating day, one of the most comforting things in the world is to know that there's a community unrelated to anything from my real world where I can go to and forget about some things for a while. Where it's a two way street with people I have met just because (true story) I was sick in the middle of winter 2016/2017 and decided to play some Modded Minecraft. 

That's a long way to show how much this community means to me. I cannot imagine how the last 3.... (seriously... has it only been 3 years. Feels like at least 5) 3 years would have been for me without this amazing community you spawned. You spawned. I didn't create this. I made a thing some people downloaded. They didn't have to download it, but they did and they chatted about it. There were enough people who chatted about it I thought I would provide them with a dedicated place to chat about it. People started chatting about it more & that led to more people downloading the thing. It could have been just a pack for me to play with bugs and glitches and undeveloped parts. But you all came together and created this wonderful product that is now getting its 72nd update. 

So thank you for everything you've done for me. I mean it. if you just found Questing Mayhem and wanted to check out its extensive changelogs, thank you. If you've been playing Questing Mayhem since February 22nd, 2017 & its first public release, thank you. If you've just made a comment on the curseforge page giving me a suggestion, thank you. Just a quick few shoutouts since I'm not planning to do a Questing Mayhem changelog after this, there are a group of people who have been streaming Questing Mayhem on Twitch for about 2 months (and some have even been playing Questing Mayhem for A LOT longer than that).
