🌍 The World
Tectonic reshapes the entire terrain engine. Expect mountain ranges that actually feel like mountains — towering, dramatic, worth climbing. Pair that with Biomes O' Plenty filling every corner of the map with new environments, and no two worlds will feel the same. Then add Distant Horizons, which pushes your visible horizon to cinematic distances using a Level-of-Detail system that won't murder your framerate.
Scattered through that world: dungeons, abandoned taverns, reinforced towers, overhauled mineshafts, underwater ruins, End structures, and more — courtesy of Dungeons & Taverns, Explorify, Towns & Towers, Moog's Voyager, and several others. Loot Integrations ties all of it into vanilla's existing loot tables, so every chest feels rewarding.
🎧 The Atmosphere
Choose from five handpicked shaders — Complementary Reimagined, Complementary Unbound, BSL, Bliss, and Solas — each with a distinct look, all running through Iris. Sound Physics Remastered gives caves their echo and forests their depth. AmbientSounds fills silence with life. Presence Footsteps adds tactile audio to every surface you walk on. Falling Leaves, Cool Rain, and LambDynamicLights do the rest.
