PocketTuga — Changelog
Version 1.0.1 — Initial Release
PocketTuga is a Cobblemon-based modpack built from the ground up around exploration, structured progression, and a job-driven economy. Its overall shape draws inspiration from other well-known Cobblemon experiences in the community, but the mod selection, progression structure, and configuration have been assembled independently for this project. The sections below break down what the pack includes and why each system was chosen.
Core Framework
- Cobblemon forms the foundation of the pack, adding the full creature-collection, battling, and world-integration systems that everything else builds on top of.
- Fabric API, Architectury API, Cloth Config, Fabric Language Kotlin, and related library mods provide the underlying compatibility layer that lets the rest of the pack's mods function together without conflicts.
Quest and Progression Systems
- FTB Quests, together with FTB Library and FTB Teams, provides the main quest-book framework used throughout the pack.
- Cobblemon Quests extends FTB Quests with Cobblemon-specific objectives, allowing missions built around capturing, battling, evolving, and scanning Pokémon rather than only vanilla tasks.
- Jobs+ adds a profession system layered on top of quest progression. Players choose a job that unlocks its own tools, tasks, and rewards, giving multiple viable paths through the pack rather than a single linear progression.
- Advancement Plaques and Paginated Advancements & Custom Frames improve how in-game milestones are displayed and organized.
Battling and Trainers
- Radical Cobblemon Trainers and its API counterpart add configurable NPC trainers with their own teams, dialogue, and battle logic, giving the world encounters beyond wild Pokémon.
- Cobblemon: Mega Showdown and Cobblemon Battle Extras expand battle mechanics and visual feedback during fights.
- Cobblemon Fight or Flight Reborn and Catch Indicator / Catch Rate Display improve the moment-to-moment feedback loop of encountering and capturing wild Pokémon.
Economy and Utility
- CobbleDollars introduces a Cobblemon-integrated currency system used across the pack's economy.
- Cobblemon Capture XP and Cobblemon: PlayerXP tie player and team progression to core Cobblemon activities.
- Cobblemon Pasture Loot, SafePastures, and Cobblemon Raid Dens add new activities and resource loops built around pasture management and cooperative raid content.
- CobbleCuisine, Pokeblocks, and CobbleFurnies extend crafting and decoration options with Cobblemon-themed recipes and furniture.
Exploration and World Content
- Repurposed Structures, Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments, and Terralith (currently disabled, available for future use) expand world generation with new structures and biome variety.
- Waystones and Xaero's Minimap / World Map improve long-distance navigation across the expanded world.
- Huge Structure Blocks supports the larger custom builds used throughout the pack's points of interest.
Storage, Building, and Quality of Life
- Sophisticated Storage, Sophisticated Backpacks, and Tom's Simple Storage Mod provide the pack's inventory and logistics systems.
- Macaw's Furniture, Macaw's Windows, Macaw's Lights and Lamps, Handcrafted, and Lucky's Cozy Home round out the building and decoration catalogue.
- Better Furnaces Reforged and Factory API extend crafting and automation options.
Visuals and Performance
- Complementary Shaders (Unbound) and Iris provide the pack's shader support.
- Sodium, Lithium, C2ME, FerriteCore, ModernFix, Krypton, and ImmediatelyFast form the pack's performance layer, aimed at keeping frame rates and world loading times stable given the size of the mod list.
- Fresh Animations, Fresh Moves, Not Enough Animations, and Entity Model Features improve mob and player animation fidelity.
- FancyMenu and Custom Splash Screen drive the pack's custom title screen and menu branding, built specifically for PocketTuga.
Stability and Debugging
- Not Enough Crashes, Neruina, Debugify, StackDeobfuscator, and Packet Fixer were included to reduce crash frequency and improve error reporting during development and play-testing.
Known Limitations
- Terralith is currently included but disabled pending further world-generation testing.
- Some custom-authored assets (icons, splash screens, quest text) are still being finalized ahead of the public release.
This changelog reflects the mod composition of PocketTuga as configured for its first public build. Future updates will document additions, removals, and balance changes to the quest and job systems specifically.
