Version 1.0.2 — Progression, Quests & Expansion Update
This update expands PocketTuga's progression systems with a major focus on quests, Pokémon progression, utility, exploration, building, performance, and new methods of transportation. The quest book has been significantly expanded to better integrate the various mechanics and mods included in the pack, giving players clearer objectives and long-term goals while exploring the world.
Quest and Progression Expansion
- The quest system has been significantly expanded with a large number of new quests covering Pokémon progression, exploration, crafting, utilities, battle mechanics, and mod-specific features.
- Existing quests have been rewritten and improved with more detailed descriptions, clearer objectives, and additional explanations for mechanics that may otherwise be difficult to understand.
- New progression quests introduce players to important Pokémon mechanics including Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Terastallization, Dynamax and Gigantamax.
- Regional League progression has been expanded with dedicated questlines for Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, including their Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Champions, and League rewards.
- Regional League trophies now contribute towards a final progression objective, requiring players to complete the major League challenges across all four regions before achieving the final World Champion progression milestone.
- Additional collection and progression quests have been added for Evolution Items, Gems, Held Items, Mega Stones, Tera Shards, Z-Crystals, EV Shakes, Cakes, and other Pokémon-related resources.
- New utility quests introduce important systems and blocks such as the Poké Nav, Elevator, Enchanting Table, Enchanting Infuser, Advanced Enchanting Infuser, Inventory Connector, and Crafting Terminal.
- Mining and resource progression has been expanded with quests introducing Hammers and large-scale excavation tools, providing clearer progression from basic mining tools towards high-capacity excavation equipment.

- Added dedicated progression for the Mega Bracelet, including the acquisition of the Keystone and the crafting process required to access Mega Evolution.
- Added progression for the Z-Ring and Z-Crystals, including the requirements for accessing Z-Moves and special crystals such as Ultranecrozium-Z.
- Added progression for the Tera Orb and Tera Shards, including the resources required to change and utilize Tera Types.
- Added dedicated progression for Stellar Tera Shards, introducing the rare Stellar Tera Type as a separate collection objective.
- Added progression for the Dynamax Band and the resources required for Dynamax and Gigantamax.
- Added a final progression path for the Omni Ring, bringing multiple major battle mechanics together into a single end-game objective.
- Expanded Held Item progression with descriptions explaining how items can enhance Pokémon through stat boosts, move amplification, defensive effects, status interactions, and other battle mechanics.
Pokémon Training and Resources
- Added dedicated quest progression for EV Shakes, separated into Basic, Medium, and High tiers according to their respective EV increases.
- Added quests for special Shakes with effects including EV removal, level increases, Dynamax Level increases, PP restoration, full healing, and Egg Move acquisition.
- Added CobbleCuisine Cake progression, introducing the different cakes and explaining their individual effects.
- Added additional progression for Pokémon resources and items used for training, evolution, battle preparation, and long-term team development.
Building and Decoration
- Added additional decoration-focused mods to expand the building catalogue available to players.
- Expanded the available selection of furniture, decorative blocks, windows, lighting, and other building components.
- These additions provide more options for creating Pokémon Centers, Gyms, houses, shops, storage facilities, bases, and other custom structures.
- Decoration progression is now better integrated into the quest system, giving players reasons to explore and utilize the additional building content.
Storage and Quality of Life
- Added progression for Tom's Simple Storage systems, introducing the Inventory Connector and Crafting Terminal.
- The Inventory Connector allows multiple inventories to be connected into a centralized storage network.
- The Crafting Terminal provides a searchable interface for accessing connected storage while also allowing players to craft directly from stored resources.
- Added the Elevator Block as a dedicated mobility utility, allowing players to quickly travel between different floors of their builds.
- Added Potion Ring progression, allowing players to utilize wearable rings that provide persistent potion effects.
- Added Construction Wand progression, including the Infinity Wand for large-scale building projects.
Exploration and Transportation

- Aircraft fuel mechanics have been incorporated into the quest descriptions, including the use of furnace fuels such as coal and charcoal.
- Added Small Ships progression through the construction of the Cog, providing players with a dedicated method of ocean transportation.
- The Cog introduces a more practical method of long-distance ocean travel while also providing additional cargo capacity for exploration and transportation.
- These transportation systems give players multiple alternatives to traditional land travel and improve access to distant areas of the expanded world.
Mining and Resource Gathering
- Added progression for Hammers, introducing an alternative approach to traditional block-by-block mining.
- Hammer progression now covers multiple tiers with increasingly large mining areas, ranging from 3×3×1 through to 5×5×5.
- Added progression for the Excavator, introducing large-scale resource extraction for players who have progressed far enough into industrial resource gathering.
- These systems provide a clear progression from conventional mining towards tools and machines designed for large-scale excavation.
Performance and Optimization
- Added additional performance-focused mods to improve the overall stability and responsiveness of the modpack.
- Optimization changes target rendering performance, entity handling, memory usage, and general client-side efficiency.
- Performance improvements are intended to make exploration and large player-built areas more stable while maintaining the visual and gameplay features of the pack.
- The optimization layer has been integrated alongside the expanded content to reduce the performance impact of the additional decoration, Pokémon, structures, and world content.
Overall Progression
- The progression structure has been expanded to better connect the different systems within PocketTuga rather than treating each mod as an isolated feature.
- Players now have more long-term objectives ranging from early-game utilities and Pokémon training to advanced battle mechanics, regional League challenges, large-scale building, transportation, and end-game collection.
- The expanded quest system is designed to progressively introduce mechanics while also providing experienced players with long-term completion objectives.
- The ultimate progression path now extends beyond becoming a regional Champion, requiring players to conquer multiple Pokémon Leagues and complete the major systems available throughout the pack.
End-Game Goals
PocketTuga now provides a significantly broader end-game progression path. Players can work towards mastering Pokémon training, collecting rare items, completing regional League challenges, unlocking every major battle mechanic, and building the infrastructure required to support their journey.
The final objective is no longer simply to complete a single region. Players who complete the four regional League campaigns, obtain their trophies, and overcome the challenges placed throughout the pack can finally claim the title of True Pokémon World Champion.
