The first major public build of the OREBOUND Modpack is here.

OREBOUND is a progression-focused industrial mining pack built around exploring underground geology, discovering permanent Resource Seams, building increasingly powerful mining infrastructure, and pushing deeper into large-scale automation and technology.

OREBOUND Core

• Updated to the first public version of the OREBOUND Core Mod.

• Added the complete Resource Seam system.

• Added persistent underground mineral deposits with unique:

  • Mining Power requirements
  • Discovery data
  • Site identities

• Added Seam discovery and long-term world tracking.

Prospecting Progression

Added the complete prospecting equipment progression:

• Prospector's Hammer
• Handheld Prospector
• Ore Scanner
• Geological Surveyor

Prospecting equipment allows players to locate specific underground resources instead of blindly strip-mining.

Higher-tier tools provide increasingly powerful deposit detection, including:

• Selectable resource targets
• Direction
• Distance
• Y-level information
• Persistent deposit locking
• Long-distance geological surveying

Shift + Right Click opens target selection.

Right Click performs the scan or survey.

Mining Machine Progression

Added the full primary Miner progression:

• Mechanical Miner
• Copper Miner
• Iron Miner
• Diamond Miner
• Reinforced Miner
• Core Miner

Each tier provides access to increasingly difficult Resource Seams through OREBOUND's Mining Power system.

Resource Seam Relocation

Added integration with Mekanism Cardboard Boxes.

Resource Seams can now be packaged and moved while preserving their underlying deposit data.

Relocated deposits retain their:

• Grade
• Discovery status
• Site identity
• Custom name

A simple early-game sawdust recipe has also been added:

1 Any Log → 4 Mekanism Sawdust

This provides enough sawdust to craft one Cardboard Box.

Quest Progression

Expanded and refined the OREBOUND quest book.

• Added guided progression through prospecting and Resource Seams.
• Added mining equipment progression.
• Added instructions for Mining Power.
• Added Cardboard Box Seam relocation tutorials.
• Improved descriptions and control instructions.
• Added optional side objectives without blocking the main progression path.
• Cleaned up quest dependencies and progression flow.

The current quest system contains hundreds of interconnected quests covering OREBOUND and its supporting technology mods.

The pack includes a large collection of technology and automation mods integrated into OREBOUND's progression.
