Other long overdue updates.

Greatly reduced the spawn chance of the dogs and rats from Animalium. Increased the number of piranha that spawn in a group.

Computer Turtles now respect claims set via FTB Utilities.

Minecolonies now on build 0.8.2066.

Turned off all of the update checks found in the configs, as no one wants to see that on log in, especially not when there’s an active developer such as myself on the job.

Increased server ram specs in start scripts so that it doesn’t hang when players try to connect. Scripts affected are keepAlive.sh and rawStart.sh. Note that keepAlive is meant to be used with startKeepAlive which wraps the server into a loop that restarts the server when it crashes or is stopped. rawStart is essentially the same thing but it doesn’t run the server in a screen session so that it is easier to scroll back and make bug reports.

Side note: in the mods folder for the server is a script called mkReport.sh if you give it the crash report path and an additional option of (-l or -gen) where -l is for less and -gen is to make a report. For making reports make sure that gist is installed, it’s usually part of the gem package that installed from the ruby package, on Ubuntu you would do “apt-get install ruby” and then “ruby install gem” and then “gem install gist”. Insane, but gist is a pastebin style program that sends your content to gist.github.com which unlike the other paste sites has unlimited filesize and unlimited pastes.

Side note continue: I use the -l to less the crash report and find data i need to feel out the bug report. After which I quit that and use the -gen option to make it ask me questions , like what errored, I usually give that a mod version number as I’ll be putting it on the mod authors issue tracker, so we’ll know which mod, and then it’ll ask me for tier, that’s the branch of forge, 1.7.10, 1.8, 1.9, 1.11.2, etc and finally it’ll ask for some notes and you can type a novel there, much like I’m doing here.

Side note final: It’ll print some data that you can copy with your mouse and in it will be two gists one for the crash report and the other for the fml-server-latest, paste that into the issue tracker, the mod authors will love you for it. Feel free to copy my scripts into your server packs, I don’t mind and if you change them for the better please share them back to me.
