If you installed 3.8.0D, the only difference is that Fancy Battle Axes is not in this one, and that mod crashes the server, not the ssp.

There is an issue probably with every method of getting the new packs that when you do your Journey Map is wiped out. Unless someone makes a mod to keep it, I don’t know of a way to protect it unless you go into your installation folder and save the “journeymap” folder to some other place, and after the upgrade you put this folder back in place.
