Description
This is a decently kitchensink modpack with a few changes fitted around my play style. The pack can be deadly but, if you can avoid this, progression should be pretty quick. However there are a lot of things to do late game.
Most notable changes
- 4k, 16k and 64k ae2 cells are cheaper (I hate the recursive recipes).
- Ores generate in rarer bigger chunks, some ores might be hard to find, but you should be able to find workarounds for those.
- Pitchblend is only found beneath oceans and mushroom biomes (and of course in the end), it is quite abundant there.
- There are more caves and open spaces underground. This makes the world more beautiful (in my opinion) and a bit more dangerous. :)
- Most early game energy storage is disabled to incentivize the creation of sustainable ways of producing energy.
Points of interest
- Farming rainbow trees can be a very good source of a certain metal.
- Finding villages wont be a problem and you should be able to obtain some nice starting items there.
- I can recommend automating everything (mining, lubricant, ethanol etc...). If you are familiar with rotarycraft this shouldn't be a problem.
- It is advised to use Pam's mob drop crops (instead of more traditional monster farms) when playing on servers.
- It is also advised to craft a hammer from the hammerz mod as soon as possible, this will make mining the large ore veins a lot easier.
Potential goals
- Nuclear reactors
- Chromaticraft
- Become a mage
- Keep bees
- Create a nice dimension with mystcraft (The super OP pages are disabled)
Potentially helpful sites
These links are mainly for those who want to explore mods they don't know yet or to see what can be done in the modpack.
- Getting started with Blood magic
- Getting started with Immersive Engineering
- Getting started with Mystcraft
- Getting started with RotaryCraft (don't forget to read the in-game handbook for exact numbers on power requirements and load limits)
- Getting started with Botania
- Getting started with Thaumcraft, reading the Thaumonomicon should also suffice.
- Getting started with bees
- Twilight Forest Progression
- Blood Arsenal additions
- If you want to read about Chromaticraft (I highly recommend trying chromaticraft yourself before looking at any guide)
- If you prefer watching videos about Chromaticraft
- Documentation for programming turtles
- Breeding special bees
- Reactorcraft end game, for those who think they built it all.
If there are ever glitches, errors, crashes or other problems come to me first, before going to any of the mod authors.
Suggestions are also very welcome. My discord: derosalie
