Description

A revisit of Hexxit in 1.7, with mods carried over from the original, new mods that fit into the feel of it all, and highly customized config files for a truly immersive experience that promises to bring you back to when you first played Hexxit, how it felt, looked, and played.

A nostalgia trip with a touch of the new, bringing adventure, exploration, and battling with a bit of magic, a hint of steam powered tech, and keeping the same fun old-world style you love, made from someone with a strong fondness and appreciation of the original.

More bows, more swords, more armor, more dungeons, more mobs, just a bit more of everything you loved from before.

If you wish to discuss or ask anything related to this modpack, a good place to do it is on my thread on the fourms here. http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/113025-my-own-take-on-a-hexxit-2/

From my eyes, Hexxit has always been about your own choices, you wanna make a small house and just stay at home mostly? That's fine, there's enough building supplies for you to make a nice home, and you can make a great farm to sustain yourself! Wanna just live off the land and go running into every dungeon you see, scavenging up all the loot? That's okay too, just be careful! Wanna slowly build up an arsenal of weapons, armor, and potions at your base as you plan assault at that battle tower in your backyard, or maybe you'd prefer to raid a nearby castle as take it over as your own? It's all up to you! You could even just spend your time cave exploring, collecting ores and stones with that nice hammer you just made, you could even find some dungeons and bosses while doing so!

The choice is yours', forge your own path ahead and remember that the the journey is the most fun!

No, you cannot craft vanilla tools now, this is intentional! You can watch a video here to check out better starting tools you can make!

As this is Hexxit, Legend Gear 2 is highly recommended to be added into the pack, it used to be included by default, and I still consider it as such, but to respect the author's current decisions, I will not include it by default anymore, but you can grab it right here from the author's forum page. No loot or references to it will be deleted, but you are free to not install it if you prefer! The choice is up to you!

I recommend downloading and installing Fastcraft into the mods folder, link below.

Backstory for me making the pack below:

The backstory behind the creation of this pack is a varied one. The mis-matched URL and pack name is simply because this used to be a pack just for myself, for testing mods and learning about them. I updated the pack a lot, adding and removing mods, editing configs, updating mods, bumping up from 1.6 to 1.7; over time I realized that my pack was resembling Hexxit quite a lot in style, more or less as I tend to gravitate towards it's style of included mods as they appeal to me a lot.

Just recently, I volunteered and was added to the private testing team of Hexxit 2...and to be honest, I was majorly underwhelmed by what I had seen in the alpha; so I set to retool this pack as my own version of Hexxit for 1.7.10, it wasn't hard to do as it was fairly close to Hexxit in terms of design already, I just had to rearrange the mods list a bit and do some heavy config work. I'm pretty happy with how it all came out, feels more faithful to the original Hexxit to me; still a few kinks to work out, but overall, very complete!
