CHANGELOG:
Mythforge: Beyond the Horizon 1.3
Changes since 1.2.7.1.
This update focuses on broken progression, combat compatibility, recipe errors, guidebooks, and crashes reported during multiplayer testing. Several fixes first tested on the server are now included in the main pack for singleplayer worlds and new servers.
## Before updating
- **Empty any Cyclic Storage Bags before updating.** These bags are now disabled. The disabled-item system removes the bag, which also removes anything still stored inside it.
- Restart Minecraft after updating. The new core mod and startup scripts require a full restart.
- Back up existing worlds before updating, particularly if you are maintaining a multiplayer server.
- The End portal generation fix applies to newly generated portal rooms. Existing strongholds are not automatically rebuilt.
- Existing personal keybinds and supported client preferences are preserved. Fresh installations still receive the pack's default controls and settings.
## Skill tree and melee combat
### Fixed the blank Pufferfish skill tree
- Rebuilt the class and weapon definition overrides against the active skill-tree data.
- Fixed missing definitions that caused Pufferfish to reject the tree and display a blank or erroring skill screen.
- The corrected overrides cover all 532 class nodes and 78 weapon nodes.
- Preserved the pack's unified weapon-type conditions on the affected skill rewards.
- Removed an old nested override that was stored at an ineffective resource path.
- This fix does not reset spent skill points or existing player progression.
### Fixed held melee relic attributes
- Added a targeted fix for Shadow Claws and Slicer from Reliquified Iron's Spells and Spellbooks.
- These relics could be missing their intended held-weapon damage and attack-speed modifiers, leaving them attacking at the player's much faster unarmed rate.
- Missing base modifiers are now supplied from the relic's own rolled stats.
- Existing native modifiers and upgraded values take priority, so the fallback does not replace a properly functioning relic's stats.
- Repeated attribute checks do not stack duplicate bonuses.
- Preserved Better Combat weapon profiles, hold-to-attack support, skill tags, and ability unlock requirements.
- This is a correction to missing weapon attributes, not a global attack-speed nerf.
### Fixed weapon-type tooltips
- Updated the tooltip script for the installed KubeJS 7 API.
- Fixed the tag-identifier handling and invalid stream cleanup calls that caused repeated errors when hovering weapons.
- Removed another unsupported inspection call that could fail after the original tag error was corrected.
- Preserved all 14 weapon skill families, summoned-weapon labels, mining-tool exclusions, and the safeguard against reporting unclassified weapons before world tags have loaded.
- The fix changes how the tooltip reads existing tags. It does not replace or remove the underlying weapon classifications.
## Mythforge Custom Tweaks 0.2.5
The pack now includes the published 0.2.5 core mod, carrying the fixes added throughout this update cycle.
### Simply More stun crash
- Fixed a client crash when a non-player entity affected by Simply More's stun effect was visible to the client.
- The affected cooldown helper attempted to treat a client world as a server world.
- The patch skips only the non-player server-only cooldown operations when running on the client.
- Stun remains enabled.
- Server-side main-hand and off-hand weapon cooldowns remain functional.
- Player cooldown handling remains intact on both client and server.
- Every affected client needs the updated core mod. Updating only the server cannot repair this client crash.
### Galosphere oasis generation
- Ported the server's Galosphere oasis compatibility fix into the shared core mod.
- World generation now uses the structure manager for the current generation region.
- Shrine checks are cached within each placement attempt, avoiding repeated lookups during the same attempt.
- Preserved shrine exclusion, ordinary manual placement, and independent checks between placement attempts.
- The patch supports integrated singleplayer worlds as well as dedicated servers.
- Avoids applying the same fix twice when the server administration mod already provides it.
### Claim protection
- Fixed Dimensional Rift block destruction bypassing FTB claim protection.
- Fixed Alex's Caves Depth Charge and related custom explosion handling destroying protected blocks.
- Permission checks are applied to affected block positions, including explosions or effects crossing claim boundaries.
- Destruction remains functional in unprotected wilderness.
### Older item-data compatibility
- Added compatibility handling for retired Artifactory attunement metadata in saved item stacks, including nested inventories.
- Removes the obsolete metadata before decoding while retaining item IDs, quantities, and unrelated components.
- Skips the migration when the original component is available.
- This helps prevent further loading failures. It cannot recreate items already lost during an earlier load.
### Sable physics compatibility
- Added a targeted guard for the Sable/Rapier collider re-entry problem.
- The core checks the supported target implementation and defers to the server's existing guard when appropriate.
- Corrected Sable's malformed bouncy-block tag through a shared datapack repair, so fresh worlds receive the fix without needing a private server-world datapack.
## Recipes and recipe viewers
### Restored 27 recipes
Added a version-specific recipe compatibility pack to repair outdated formats and renamed item references. Restored recipes include:
- Scorched Guns anthralite processing through Mekanism.
- Scorched Guns charging recipes through Create Crafts & Additions.
- The Jr. Wristbreaker mechanical crafting recipe.
- Create Deco placard dyeing.
- Yuushya's gardener gift box and an affected gray wall recipe.
- The Arachne spell scroll.
- Pale Moss processing through Mechanical Botany.
- Galosphere silver smelting and blasting from Create crushed raw silver.
The repairs retain the intended quantities, outputs, and processing costs rather than introducing cheaper alternatives.
### Guarded 52 unavailable optional recipes
- Added missing-content conditions to recipes that referenced items unavailable in this pack.
- Covers affected optional integrations from Artificers, Cataclysm Spellbooks, and Integrated Simply Swords.
- These recipes now skip cleanly when their required content is absent.
- This does not enable removed equipment, bypass item bans, or add placeholder items.
### AStages and EMI
- Disabled AStages' recipe-viewer integration to bypass its problematic EMI cache rebuilding.
- Applied the setting to the active client configuration and the shipped default copy.
- Kept AStages, EMI, machinery restrictions, and gameplay progression enabled.
- Existing machinery restrictions continue to show their recipes through the pack's configured recipe-viewer behavior.
### Removed the outdated Let's Do EMI bridge
- Removed the outdated EMI Let's Do Compat addon, which failed while looking for a Vinery class that is no longer present.
- Vinery now uses its own working EMI plugin.
- Vinery and EMI remain enabled.
### Fixed Solstice Sword repair lookup
- Added a targeted startup correction for Inventory Pets' Solstice Sword.
- Its missing repair-ingredient supplier could interrupt EMI's repair-recipe registration.
- The correction preserves durability, speed, damage, enchantability, and existing item components.
- No new repair material or weapon balance change has been introduced.
### Fixed seven Just Enough Breeding displays
- Corrected malformed transformation data for Straddlers and Warped Moscos.
- Fixed food ingredient displays for Rattlesnakes and Tasmanian Devils.
- Tasmanian Devil breeding displays now exclude their separate howling foods.
- Corrected the Warped Toad's entity namespace and taming ingredient tag.
- Corrected the Amethyst Lightning Dragon egg spelling.
- Corrected the Triops egg item reference.
- Added optional-mod conditions so these viewer recipes are skipped safely on servers without Just Enough Breeding.
- These repairs describe existing breeding, taming, and transformation behavior. They do not change the mobs' underlying mechanics.
## End progression and world generation
### Corrected stronghold portal rooms
- Integrated Stronghold portal rooms now select the supplied End Remastered variant.
- Corrected the template's eye-state format for the installed End Remastered version.
- The corrected room contains 12 empty ancient portal frames instead of ordinary vanilla frames.
- The template does not include a preactivated portal.
- Existing generated rooms are left untouched.
### Personal End access
- Verified that the existing requirement still checks each player's history of collecting 12 distinct End Remastered eye types.
- Duplicate eyes do not count as additional types.
- The existing protection against entering through direct teleportation remains in place alongside normal portal travel checks.
- Creative, spectator, and owner-level administration bypasses remain intentional.
### Regions Unexplored compatibility
- Included the server-tested workaround for eight affected placed features and their Lithostitched structure predicates.
- This changes where those features are allowed to generate in new terrain.
- As a tradeoff, the affected features can also generate inside structures.
### ATi Structures armory loot
- Fixed an invalid enchantment-level provider in armory chest loot.
- Replaced the unsupported chest-context calculation with a valid uniform enchantment range.
- Preserved the rest of the loot table.
## Guidebooks and Akashic Tome
### Starcatcher
- Moved the Starcatcher guide into the starter Akashic Tome.
- Disabled the separate first-login guide gift in both the active configuration and new-world defaults.
- Allowed the guide to be merged into existing Tomes.
- Existing loose guides are not deleted.
- The separate first-catch fishing-rod reward is preserved. Starcatcher can still bundle a guide with that reward.
### BetterEnd
- Restored the BetterEnd Patchouli guide using a compatible book definition and resource layout.
- Included the supplied English, German, Spanish, and Korean categories and entries.
- Corrected the book to use the registered Patchouli guide item rather than an unregistered BetterEnd custom item.
- The guide opens through normal book interaction and works with Akashic Tome.
- Removed the obsolete custom-item whitelist entry.
### Existing Tome repair
- Updated the repair script to write custom book components correctly under KubeJS 7.
- Corrected Spectrum book identification and guidebook naming.
- Preserved valid custom book IDs, names, notes, and unrelated components.
- Only empty Patchouli and GuideME templates are removed by the cleanup.
## Script fixes and gameplay consistency
### Sleeping with Creating Space and Spectrum
- Replaced the conflicting sleep handling with one shared compatibility script.
- Sleeping at night advances to sunrise.
- Spectrum's daytime sleep behavior advances to dusk.
- The result is based on the time before the sleep event, so it does not depend on which mod's listener runs first.
- Retired the duplicate sunrise-only script.
### Warden Gamba rewards
- Fixed entity-identifier handling that could silently prevent the Warden reward callback from recognizing a kill.
- Retained the personal cooldown of 16 real-world hours.
- Corrected the token tooltip to display that cooldown.
- Preserved existing saved timers and the migration from the older cooldown format.
### Disabled items
- Added Cyclic Storage Bag to the disabled-item list.
- Added client tooltips explaining disabled items.
- Fixed a namespace selector that previously prevented the full banned-item tooltip callback from registering.
- Corrected identifier comparisons in item-use and placement guards for restricted items, including nukes and unsupported chunk loaders.
- Kept ordinary Capsid interactions available while retaining the restricted contraption-insertion guard.
### Avar encounter handling
- Fixed entity and damage-type lookups used by the final-boss script.
- Attribute setup now visits loaded dimensions, including Still Horizon, instead of relying on an Overworld command context.
- Preserved the existing damage caps, magic scaling, outgoing damage floors, and numerical tuning.
- Kept administrative kill and cleanup damage usable.
### General KubeJS cleanup
- Audited the shipped scripts against the installed KubeJS and Rhino versions.
- Fixed repeated-callback variable declarations that could trigger Rhino redeclaration errors.
- Removed unused, outdated weapon-inspection helpers.
- Preserved the existing weapon classifications, recipe restrictions, and balance values.
## Owner tools
- Added owner-level, Creative-only support for full-data Create schematic capture, upload, and paced pasting.
- Supports block entity data, inventories, entities, and ordinary block states when that data is present in the schematic.
- Added capture, queue status, and cancellation commands under `/create mythforge-schematic`.
- Raised the shared upload configuration for trusted transfers while retaining the smaller ordinary-player limit through the core mod.
- Pasting is spread over server ticks. Very large files and individual chunk loads can still cause pauses.
- The survival Schematicannon ban remains in place.
- Schematics cannot recover data that was stripped before capture, and external storage databases are not included automatically.

## Existing balance settings retained
The 20% attack-healing budget, shared 50% dodge ceiling, 90% passive damage-reduction ceiling, and Dead's Mekanism Tweaks setup remain in place. These were already part of the previous release and are not new nerfs in 1.3. Double enchants and hold-to-attack combat remain supported.
## Testing and remaining notes
- Tested the Simply More fix with a stunned mob visible to a connected client, alongside player cooldowns and server main-hand/off-hand cooldowns.
- Verified that the repaired skill categories load and the previously missing class definition is present.
- Checked melee relic fallback stats, existing upgraded stats, and repeated attribute queries.
- Verified all 79 recipe compatibility expectations against a loaded recipe manager.
- Tested the corrected portal template and the boundary between 11 unique eyes plus duplicates and 12 distinct eyes.
- Tested native BetterEnd book opening, Vinery EMI recipes, Solstice Sword repair lookup, and repeated weapon tooltip builds.
- The final integrated-world compatibility pass completed 36 checks successfully.
- BetterEnd's original rejected book-definition message can still appear once during startup before the compatibility script registers the working guide. The guide itself is usable.
- EMI still performs substantial recipe indexing during startup and world entry. These fixes address specific errors; they are not a promise that all loading hitches or FPS drops are eliminated.
