v1.2.1: the,
"Push an update that breaks every user's previous world because of an advancements datapack and take 5 days to fix the problem"
update

General:
→ Removed Expanded Advancement and Recipe Pack to fix client crash when joining worlds made before v1.2
If you're still unable to join your old world, you may have to delete your advancements folder entirely (sorry, sorry.). This can be found in your save's individual world folder (.minecraft -> saves -> (your world) -> advancements)

Removed Mods:
→
Turtlemod
This mod is giving me troubles when uploading the modpack to curseforge so I've yeeted it, for now. This should also fix mod incompatibility with the server pack
→ Expanded Advancement and Recipe Pack Datapack
→ world-pregen Datapack
This wasn't supposed to be left in here. Whoops.

v1.2: the "Wave, Shield and Health" update, is finally here :)

This update includes changes in biome generation, gameplay mechanics and cleaned up mod configurations (which fixes a lot of crashes that v1.1 had)

General:
→ Updated recommended Forge version to v31.1.30

→ Overhauled mob health and damage to be much more challenging
Using Scaling Health (configured to a static difficulty), all mobs will spawn with drastically higher health and damage than before. This is something I've wanted since the modpack released and, in my experience running the SMP, it plays very well with the amount of movement-mechanics the pack includes.

→ Your inventory showing above your HUD is now disabled by default
Oh, the amount of people who thought this feature from InventoryHUD+ was a bug. My mentions, please, help me. I've disabled this feature by default but it can still be toggled on using "i"

Common Bug Fixes/Addresses:
→ Attempting to set a Waypoint using the world map will no longer crash your client
This was fixed by updating Xaero's World Map and Xaero's Minimap to MUCH newer versions

→ Using bookshelves from I Like Wood's "Biomes O Plenty add-on" datapack around an enchant table will no longer prevent your world from being joinable
This was fixed by updating I Like Wood's main mod, while leaving the datapack untouched

→ Fixed rare world crash when travelling in a snowy area
This was fixed by updating Snow! Real Magic! to its latest version

→ "Why does my game keep crashing and saying not enough memory?"
((Assuming your RAM is already set to what I recommend)) Currently, Mystical Agriculture has a memory leak bug that will ramp up your RAM usage if your farm is any larger than a decent size. This is mostly apparent on servers but can still impact single player worlds. Until this gets fixed on their end, simply reduce the size of your farm until your client stops crashing

→ "Why don't I respawn at my home when I die?"
My apologies, this is a tough one to configure. I've set the modpack to force you to teleport to the world's spawn whenever you die so that the custom world's spawn will work as intended. If this was disabled, players would load up the custom world and never see the spawn. If you want to disable this feature for your modpack, go into the .minecraft instance directory, open the "config" folder, find "ma-essentials.toml", open that file, find "force_spawn_on_death" toward the bottom and set that from "true" to "false". Save the file and re-launch the modpack

As a tip: If you want your existing world to be compatible with mods that add new cave generation, you don't have to travel to new chunks to do it! Delete your existing Advanced Mining Dimension data in your saves folder and load the dimension up again! The caves will have all of the new blocks.
