Medieval Mayhem

Build a life in a dangerous medieval world. Choose an origin, learn powerful crafting systems, explore roads and ruins, and grow a settlement alongside villagers with lives and stories of their own.

What you can do

• Choose who you are: Play as one of 19 medieval origins, each with its own strengths and drawbacks. Browse the options and read about each one before deciding.

• Make a home in the kingdom: MCA Reborn lets you befriend villagers, build relationships and families. MCA Quests adds villager jobs and Guild Mark rewards, while Villager Recruits lets you hire guards to protect your travels.

• Follow a quest-led adventure: More than 300 quests across 23 chapters introduce the pack’s systems, guide progression and reward exploration.

• Build your gear with Tinkers: Ordinary tools are replaced by a Tinkers-focused tool progression. Craft parts and workstations, then make and improve equipment as you advance.

• Explore a medieval world: Find dungeons, villages, roads and ruins, chart your travels with the Antique Atlas, and travel along connected roads.

• Build workshops and farms: Create, Immersive Engineering and Mystical Agriculture offer machinery, powered production and magical crops to work toward.

• Shape your strategy: Origins, Tarot cards, pets and equipment give you different ways to explore and fight.

• Earn and spend Guild Marks: Complete quests and villager contracts to buy useful supplies and selected powerful rewards. Strong items require progression, and unfinished Lucky Block variants are disabled.

The pack includes 200 mods and 23 resource packs, with medieval visuals enabled by default on a fresh install. It targets a 6 GB Java allocation, though demanding worlds and exploration may require more memory.

Roadmap

These are plans for future updates and may change as development continues.

• 0.5 — A stronger first hour: Make the opening journey clearer and more playable, improve the introduction to village life and worker systems, and introduce basic FTB Essentials commands.

• 0.6 — Better progression: Refine quest guides so they teach how the major mods work together, with clearer steps and rewards.

• 0.7 — Stability and performance: Address compatibility issues, improve performance where possible, and make multiplayer setup and pack updates easier to follow.

• 0.8 — A more connected kingdom: Expand settlement and workshop progression so villager life, crafting, farming and exploration feel like parts of the same adventure.

• 0.9 — Final balance and polish: Review progression, rewards, quest layouts and compatibility across the pack.

• 1.0 — Release: Deliver a cohesive, documented and well-tested version with a clear starting path and connected late-game goals.

Medieval Mayhem is a work in progress. Features, balance and release plans may change between versions.
