QoL
- Players will now be automatically granted the first skill point upon joining the server (if they don't already have it)
- Spell Scrolls can now be placed in Chiseled Bookshelves
- Ink Recycle chance inreased from 50% => 66%
Item Changes
- Dragon scales can now be converted to like-kind colors (ex. fire to fire, but not fire to ice) through brewing - check out JEI for the recipes. This should make repairing dragon gear more maintainable.
- Magic Depletion potions now apply a mana drain effect
- Removed Food Upgrades for Backpacks
- Gliders can now be upgraded via the smithing table to provide progression tiers & allow for random attributes to be carried forward through that progression - check out JEI for the recipes
- Added SimplySwords' Soulstealer and Shadowsting to the Daggers category for Skills
- Randomly generated loot drops will no longer be affected by Looting or Increased Mob Loot, and now will only drop from mobs matching the following criteria
- Must be hostile or neutral
- Must have above 15 Max HP
- Must not be spawned by a Mob Spawner
Skill Changes
- Tweaked numbers on a few skills
- Added a handful of new skills to utilize new attributes
- Added new attributes:
- Alchemy Looting Chance - chance to gain additional drops of alchemy ingredients from mob loot (ex. chance for spiders to drop an additional Spider Eye)
- Sneak Attack Damage - additional damage dealth if the target is not currently targeting you
- Eating Speed - decreases use time on food items
- Drinking Speed - decreases use time on potions
- Reciprocal Healing - when using a spell to heal another entity, heals the caster for a percentage
Balance & World Changes
- Random loot drop chances tweaked
- New System: Mob Scaling - Neutral & Hostile mobs will now have their HP scaled on spawned based on the total skill points of nearby players, currently at 1% per skill point
- Dragons are now immune to the Root spell (sorry mages)
- Dragon spawns have been changed and limited to the following biomes, but will be found there much more frequently & reliably. The goal here is to make dragons more predictably located for hunters and avoided for others. These changes will only affect newly generated chunks.
