What's new
LSTFC 0.5.8 — Changes since 0.5.7
Added
- JourneyMap Integration, with FTB Chunks retained as the claim/protection backend. Existing claims and rank limits remain in place. FTB's minimap is disabled by default; JourneyMap handles navigation.
- XP Tome: store spare experience. Craft with two books in any crafting grid.
- MekaSuit geothermal temperature protection for both heat and cold.
- Extreme Sound Muffler for individual sound controls.
- Refined Storage – JEI Integration, enabling recipe transfer and search synchronization. Two-way JEI/grid search is enabled by default.
- All 11 remaining recipes requiring Ender Pearls now accept either Ender Pearls or Teleportation Cores in those positions. Existing core-only positions remain core-only; the Blue/Red Steel Teleportation Core recipe remains unchanged.
- Fully upgraded, enabled Geothermal Generator Units (eight) in worn MekaSuit leggings now prevent Cold Sweat overheating and freezing. Protection ends when disabled or removed.
- FTB Chunks' Open Map binding is cleared if it is bound to M, including on existing profiles. Custom bindings to other keys are preserved.
- FTB Chunks death waypoints are disabled; existing death markers are filtered out when loaded. Normal waypoints, JourneyMap and claim protection are retained.
Recipes
- Flux Cores use a Mekanism Teleportation Core instead of an Eye of Ender.
- Teleportation Cores use Blue or Red Steel Ingots in the four former Ender Pearl positions. Other ingredients remain unchanged.
- Akashic Tome: one stick and one TFC loose rock, shapeless.
- Added Mekanism Combiner recipes for double ingots and double sheets: one matching ingot/sheet in each input slot produces one double item. Covers TFC, Firmalife and IE crossover metals where the double item exists.
- Added TFC-compatible Mekanism Crusher biofuel recipes for crops, fruits, vegetables, grains, seeds, straw, seaweed and kelp.
- Vanilla bucket: a Blue Steel Bucket plus a Blue Steel Double Sheet, or the matching Red Steel pair.
- Cinder Flour: one Mekanism Quartz Dust plus one Redstone Dust, shapeless.
- Netherrack: five cobblestone blocks in an X, with four Cinder Flour in the remaining spaces. Accepts the common cobblestone tag, including TFC rocks.
- Cobblerack can be smelted into Netherrack, including Create bulk blasting.
- Vanilla Stonecutter: an IE Sawblade above three TFC hardened stone blocks.
- Functional Storage Obsidian Generator upgrade: a drawer in the center, a water bucket above, a lava bucket below and six obsidian in the remaining spaces.
- Removed vanilla Nether Bricks crafting.
- Kaolin Clay can be furnace-smelted or Create bulk-blasted into Kaolinite Powder, one for one. The original TFC heating recipe retains its 40% chance.
Machines and progression
- Mekanism Generators electricity production increased to 5×. Solar, Advanced Solar, Wind, Bio, Gas-Burning and Heat Generators are covered, along with turbine steam conversion and direct fusion electricity. Fission fuel heat and reactor safety settings are unchanged; turbine output provides the fission power boost.
- Increased full-height bloomery capacity to 192 input items: 64 Cast Iron Ingots plus 128 Charcoal Powder. Each chimney level holds 64 items; build the full three-level chimney for maximum capacity.
- Crucibles accept and release items through their top and all four horizontal sides using the standard item-handler interface. The bottom remains closed. Native slot validity, heat rules and one-item slot limits remain in place; fluid handling is unchanged.
- Disabled Beneath's sacrifice portal-creation method. Build and light an obsidian portal normally.
- Entering the Beneath requires each player to complete Ice Bucket Challenge by obtaining obsidian. Returning to the Overworld is unrestricted.
Comfort
- Carry On no longer picks up blocks or block entities. Non-hostile entity carrying remains enabled; player pickup is disabled. Reach is fixed at one block and no longer scales with player reach.
- Immersive Engineering machine/block sounds play at half volume. Personal sound controls still apply, and Extreme Sound Muffler provides further adjustment.
