Hey! Welcome to my latest silly goofy Minecraft server, Pylon SMP!

Overview: PylonSMP is a lightly modded server, with the mods focused mainly on overhauling combat, terrain generation, and adding lots of new dungeons to explore. The server also includes a small amount of quality of life mods, and standard modded conveniences such as a mini map, UI tweaks, better inventory controls, etc. If you're someone who normally finds modded Minecraft too complicated, this modpack was made with you in mind. I'll be explaining all the new features here! However, if you're someone who plays a lot of modded Minecraft, don't think the server will be boring. In order to give the server some unique gameplay, I've implemented a PvP system with two factions and rewards for taking out people on the opposite faction of you. The next section will cover the intricacies of the faction and bounty system.

Factions: When you first join the server, you'll be asked to pick a faction. Your options are either the Pylon Believers (blue) or the Pylon Deniers (red) The names stem from a debate me and @Stevepen had over level of impact of Illari's healing pylon in Overwatch 2. You are all now roped into this argument. Here's a list of things to know:

• Each faction functions identically, having no explicit gameplay advantages over the other team.
• Each faction has an area of the map designated as their "home turf". While on home turf, you perpetually have 20% damage resistance.
• Each faction gets to place one waypoint that anyone in the faction can teleport to. More can be purchased from the shop, too.

The most important thing to keep in mind when choosing your faction? It doesn't matter. Your choice should be solely dependent on if you have friends you wanna team up with (or play against), and the current population of each faction. When you go in game to choose, it will tell you how many players each has. Please try to keep the factions balanced.
