A journal-driven psychological horror survival experience built around Otherworld.
You begin in a world that feels familiar.
Build a shelter. Gather food. Explore. Survive.
Then something changes.
LAST ENTRY is designed around slow-burn horror, exploration, atmosphere, and the feeling that Minecraft itself is beginning to break around you. At the center of the experience is Otherworld [Horror], bringing strange encounters, hidden lore, entities, and entire dimensions that can turn an ordinary survival world into something completely unfamiliar.
The goal is not simply to defeat monsters.
The goal is to live long enough to remember what happened.
THE JOURNAL
For the intended experience, keep a written journal during your playthrough.
At the end of every Minecraft day, return home and write an entry about what happened.
Recommended rules:
-
Only write your journal while in the Overworld.
-
Write your entry before sleeping.
-
If you are taken to another dimension, do not write anything until you return.
-
Record what you saw, where you went, what followed you, and anything that felt wrong.
-
Write as your character, not as the player.
-
Do not reload a save just because something frightening happens.
Your journal is not a quest log.
It is proof that you were there.
DAY 1:
I spawned in a normal world. Even made myself a little shed.
Then I saw it.
It... it found me.
WHAT TO EXPECT
LAST ENTRY focuses heavily on atmosphere rather than constant action.
Expect:
-
Story-driven horror
-
Strange entities and encounters
-
Multiple dimensions
-
Hidden lore
-
Pitch-black environments
-
Unpredictable events
-
Improved environmental audio
-
Immersive footsteps and sound propagation
-
Simple survival conveniences that do not remove the danger
-
A world that may not stay as normal as it first appears
Some days may be completely peaceful.
Those are the days you should worry about.
RECOMMENDED WAY TO PLAY
For the best experience:
Do not spoil Otherworld for yourself.
Avoid looking up every entity, dimension, encounter, or solution before you find it naturally.
Go in blind.
Explore things you probably should not explore.
If something takes you somewhere unfamiliar, try to find your own way back.
And if the entities come to kill you, let it happen.
Don't be afraid. It's pixels.
You. Are. Stronger.
VISUALS
Otherworld already includes custom fog, darkness, and visual effects, so shaders are intentionally not required for LAST ENTRY.
The pack is designed to preserve a more familiar, old-school Minecraft appearance so the horror has something normal to corrupt.
IMPORTANT
Photosensitivity Warning:
Otherworld contains jumpscares, loud sounds, flashing lights, and other intense horror effects.
Please play responsibly if you are sensitive to flashing imagery.
CORE EXPERIENCE
LAST ENTRY is built primarily around Otherworld [Horror], with additional mods selected to support survival and immersion without overwhelming the original experience.
Major additions include:
Otherworld [Horror]
Sound Physics Remastered
AmbientSounds
Presence Footsteps
Sophisticated Backpacks
Enhanced Falling Trees
Corpse
EnhancedVisuals
Required libraries and dependencies are included with the modpack.
FINAL NOTE
You may survive for three days.
You may survive for thirty.
You may come home from another dimension and realize that something about your world feels different.
Whatever happens...
write it down.
Because eventually, you're going to write your Last Entry.
make it more like me, like an actual human being
Yeah — the last one sounded a little too “official website.”
Here’s a version that feels way more like an actual person wrote it, while still looking good on CurseForge:
LAST ENTRY
LAST ENTRY is a horror survival modpack built around Otherworld [Horror].
I wanted this pack to feel like you’re actually living through something and documenting it as it happens, instead of just running around fighting random horror mobs.
You start in a pretty normal Minecraft world.
Build a house. Get food. Explore.
Then things start getting weird.
And from there… you just have to survive it.
THE JOURNAL
This is the part I really want people to do.
Every night, before you sleep, write in your journal about what happened that day.
Only write while you’re in the Overworld.
If you get sent to another dimension, don’t write anything until you make it back.
Then write down what happened.
What you saw.
What chased you.
Where you went.
What felt wrong.
Write it like you’re actually the person going through it.
Example:
DAY 1:
I spawned in, normal world, even made up a new little shed.
Then I saw it.
It... it found me.
The journal isn’t really there to track progress.
It’s there so you can look back later and see how messed up your story actually became.
WHAT’S IN THE PACK?
The main focus is Otherworld, which adds the dimensions, entities, lore, and the really weird stuff.
I added a few other mods mostly to make everything feel better without completely changing Minecraft:
-
Sound Physics Remastered
-
AmbientSounds
-
Presence Footsteps
-
Sophisticated Backpacks
-
Corpse
-
Enhanced Falling Trees
-
EnhancedVisuals
I purposely didn’t add crazy terrain generation or a million extra horror mods.
I want the world to still feel like Minecraft.
That way, when something is wrong, you actually notice it.
HOW I RECOMMEND PLAYING
Go in as blind as possible.
Don’t look up every entity.
Don’t look up every dimension.
Don’t spoil the weird stuff before it happens.
If something sends you somewhere else, figure it out yourself.
And if the entities come to kill you, let it happen.
Don’t be afraid.
It is pixels.
You. Are. Stronger.

SONG RECOMMENDATIONS
For the full vibe, throw these on while you play:
- INVISIBLE — Duran Duran
- Jane! — The Long Faces
- Punkrocker (feat. Iggy Pop) — Teddybears, Iggy Pop
- This Fffire – New Version — Franz Ferdinand
- Black Hole Sun — Soundgarden
- The Night Begins to Shine — B.E.R.
IMPORTANT
Otherworld contains jumpscares, loud noises, flashing lights, and some pretty intense horror stuff, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to any of that.
ONE LAST THING
Some days might be completely normal.
Nothing happens.
You build.
You eat.
You sleep.
And honestly?
Those are probably the days I’d be most worried about.
Whatever happens...
write it down.
Because eventually, one of those pages is going to be your Last Entry.
