The primary map for the modpack as of now
Description
Project Koinonia is a survival-focused, map-based Modpack that tries to stay close to vanilla while adding survival systems and some tech features.
Additionally, a custom quest book provides both a source of lore and a loose guide to parts of the modpack.
Features
- Custom map- as of now, the primary way to play the Modpack is on the included custom map. The map is roughly 6 square kilometers and is geared towards 1-4 players. Not every biome is found on the map, but there is enough to allow multiple block palettes from spawn. You will be able to see the four islands within the boundary, thanks to Distant Horizons
- Distant Horizons is a key part of the Modpack, as distances between places are further than most vanilla locations. The map is prepackaged with the distant horizons lod, allowing players, even on lower-end devices, to see the whole map
- Geolosys adds a more realistic mining system, ores have sample indicators on the surface, and the prospector pick allows players to find the direction of ore plutons. Once a pluton is located, multiple stacks of that mineral are usually found together.
- Two mods add copper and terracotta armor as alternatives to leather armor.
- Copper and tin can be combined to create bronze, which can serve as an alternative to iron with less durability
- Lower-tier metals below bronze can be smelted on a campfire (copper and tin)
- Iron must be smelted in a blast furnace, but blast furnaces are made from smooth stone
- Create adds machines to help automate tasks. Most people know what Create is. So we’ll skip it
- Steel can be made in small amounts with Create heating and mass produced with Create TFMG
- TFMG adds an Industrial Revolution and, as of now, serves as the endgame of the Modpack
