This is a magic-focused modpack, with some tech. It is quest based, featuring many quests for all the main mods. It features limited recipe tweaking.
The quest book is the focus of this pack - it guides players from their very first steps, into the advanced stages of mods such. The modpack enforces some progression - through Embers and Immersive Engineering and finally on to Steve's Carts, in one branch - but leaves most choice open to the player. You could choose to become a wizard with Thaumcraft and tinker with arcane devices, a Hedge Mage with Botania and create powerful tools or just build a pretty house with Chisel.
This modpack is unique as far as I am aware in that it encourages you to build structures as part of quest chains. These are based on a "trust-system", but it does provide some extra incentive to actually create buildings for specific mods, rather than a few blocks strewn around a cave or field.
