What is this pack?

Gotia aims to provide a fun world that is filled with possibilities while keeping the original minecraft feeling alive. Whether as steward growing a city, conqueror of castles or simple adventurer exploring the lands, there is something for every playstyle. There are plenty world generation mods included that provide a lot of content for exploration. Create and Ars Nouveau will help you with any automatization cravings you might have and minecolonies and valarian conquest let you live out your greatest ambitions. For simpler folks plenty of combat encounters are in this pack and a custom skill tree with 4 classes is available to help you meeting the challenge. 
In summary, this pack provides something for most playstyles which makes it a perfect fit for cozy gaming with friends or family. Custom tools/armors/blocks/biomes are kept to a minimum with create and ars nouveau beeing by far the worst offenders. This ensures a low barrier of entrance without the need to study every manual in detail.

Philosophy behind this Pack

There are a lot of mods out there, and many do wonderful things. One thing that often bugs me is when i load up a modpack and i have to study guide books and wikis to even get an idea of what is what. Many mods provide over the top tools, weapons or biomes with redundant blocks just because. While this can be fun, it looses the charm of vanilla minecraft and makes it a whole different game, instead of improving it.

With this pack i tried to keep it free of custom biomes, custom blocks and 30 different variants of swords, axes and shields. It focuses on the main vanilla elements and existing mechanics where possible and gently adds on where it is needed. I especially focussed on providing a balanced playstyle between villages, minecolonies and an adventurers lifestyle. If you want a classic minecraft experience with just more to do in it, this is the pack for you!

Features

• Valarian Conquest adds NPC factions that own outposts and castles. Be carefull, they are strong and usually hostile. But for the right price, you might be able to join up with one of them and rise up the ranks.
• Minecolonies allows the SimCity enjoyers among us to build their very own town. Be mindful of the raiders though!
• Create enables powerful automatization using gears. You can build powerful contraptions if you wish to do so. I highly recommend building a cobblestone generator for minecolonies!
• Ars Nouveau lets you explore powerful magic and rituals. This provides a whole progression system on its own that does not focus on houses and castles but your own magical tom instead.
• Tectonic and Geophilic in combination with Dynamic Trees and several structure, animal and ambience mods let you experience a beautiful world that feels alive and where something new awaits at every corner.
• Oceans are dangerous, Unseaworthy forces you to build proper boats using Small Ships if you wish to venture into deeper waters.
• Several Monster Variants and a new Monster AI let you have a new and more challenging combat experience.
• Custom Skill Trees allow you to shape your character according to your playstyle and let you grow in strength to face ever more dangerous encounters.
• Several Villager and Pillager mods breath new life into minecrafts default villages and wilderness. Experience greater villages where villagers come and go on a regular basis. As long as you behave you will always be welcome there, but dont go around stealing and pillaging. You have been warned!
• Waystones allow to revisit far places quickly and allow to connect Cities, Villages and Castles despite distances.
