Gaubtek23’s Adventure

Gaubtek23’s Adventure is an immersive Vanilla+ realism modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric, built to make Minecraft feel richer, more alive and more breathtaking while preserving the spirit of the original game.

The goal is simple:

What if Minecraft still felt like Minecraft, but almost every little detail was improved?

From world generation and exploration to animations, atmosphere, combat, sounds and visual effects, hundreds of mods and carefully tuned configurations work together to create a complete adventure experience.

The goal is to make fights feel more responsive and immersive without turning Minecraft into a completely different game.

A huge amount of attention has been given to small details.

These small improvements combine to make the world feel significantly more alive.

🔊 Immersive Audio

The soundscape has been heavily enhanced with environmental audio, improved footsteps, weather sounds, sound physics and many additional effects.

Caves, forests, storms and structures should feel much more atmospheric than in vanilla Minecraft.

🌄 Massive View Distance

Distant Horizons is included and configured to provide enormous landscapes and distant terrain.

For the best balance between performance and visual quality, avoid setting the normal Minecraft render distance unnecessarily high. Distant Horizons handles the distant terrain separately.

🎨 Visual Experience

Gaubtek23’s Adventure includes a carefully selected collection of visual improvements such as:

• PBR-compatible visuals

The modpack is designed around a realistic but recognizable Minecraft aesthetic.

🌌 Recommended Shader — Manual Installation

Gaubtek23’s Adventure is designed to be played with Eclipse Shader for the intended visual experience.

⚠️ Eclipse Shader is NOT included with the modpack and must be downloaded separately.

This is intentional.

How to install Eclipse Shader

1. Download Eclipse Shader from its official source.
2. Open the CurseForge application.
3. Find Gaubtek23’s Adventure.
4. Click the three-dot menu.
5. Select Open Folder.
6. Open the shaderpacks folder.
7. Place the downloaded Eclipse Shader .zip file inside this folder.
8. Do not extract the ZIP.
9. Launch Minecraft.
10. Open Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs.
11. Select Eclipse Shader.
12. Apply the shader and enjoy.

Iris is already included in Gaubtek23’s Adventure, so you do not need to install another shader loader.

Important: Keep this order for the intended visual experience. Packs at the top have priority over packs below them.

💻 Performance

Gaubtek23’s Adventure is a large and visually demanding modpack.

A substantial optimization stack is already included, featuring technologies such as:

• Sodium
• Lithium
• ModernFix
• FerriteCore
• ImmediatelyFast
• C2ME
• Distant Horizons
• Additional performance improvements

The pack has been extensively configured and tested to balance visual quality, world generation and performance.

Recommended

• Minecraft: 1.21.1
• Mod Loader: Fabric
• Java: Java 21
• RAM: approximately 10–12 GB allocated
• An SSD is strongly recommended.
• A dedicated GPU is recommended when using shaders.

If performance is limited, reduce shader quality, Minecraft render distance and Distant Horizons settings before removing mods.

⚠️ Important

Because this is a large modpack with extensive world-generation changes:

Back up important worlds before updating the modpack.

It is also strongly recommended not to manually update individual mods unless you know they are compatible with the version of Gaubtek23’s Adventure you are using.

Updates will be tested before being included in official releases.
