Funpackaged

A modpack packaged with techguns, primitive mobs, cyberware and mrcrayfish's vehicle mod.

A modpack about guns, vehicles and things that I found interesting and fun.

MODS THAT DEFINE THIS PROJECT

+Techguns, Simple Generators and Large Fluid Tank mods for realistic and science fictional guns, new ores, new structures, machines, forge energy generators and fluid storage.

+FTBQuests and FTBUtilities for an in game guide and chunk claiming. The in game guide serves as an introduction to important game mechanics and items, and gives rewards based on quest completion. You can use the chunk claiming feature to block hostile mobs from spawning inside the claimed chunk, and you can shift click a chunk in the menu to always keep the chunk loaded, which makes the game run machines without you being there.

+ScalingHealth, Doomlike Dungeons and Battletowers mods to enchance exploration and difficulty, with difficulty increasing over time.

+DynamicStealth mod for stealthy players. Backstabs with any melee weapon increases the damage you deal to the mob you attacked, but this rule also applies to you. This is a very useful mechanic in the hunting dimension.

+Better Survival, Spartan Weapons and Shields mods for better weapon play.

+Primitive Mobs and Familiar Fauna mods for more mobs in the world that help or hurt you.

+Robotic Parts(fork of cyberware for 1.12.2) mod to physically change your body for more power.

+A leveling up mod (reskillable) to limit items behind a set level lock.

-Medium difficulty experience.

GUIDE FOR GETTING STARTED

+The trees may look fancy, but they still break the same. Break the bottom log block to break the entire tree.

+You have limbs, which get damaged based on location. Make plasters or bandages to heal your limbs.

+Natural health regeneration is very slow in the game.

+Mobs damage limbs seperately, especially skeletons go for headshots and bodyshots. Make a wood/stone
shield at the beginning to protect yourself from headshots and bodyshots. (The damage distribution for most damage types spread across your limbs, trying to avoid instakills from unlucky damage distribution. Projectiles ignore this rule, hence the skeleton example.)

+Find randomly generated buildings in the world to get better gear. Some may even be your first base!

+Try to collect enough materials to make a hand cannon. It's pretty slow and has a range limit alongside with recoil, but it hits hard. You may try to craft a revolver instead, but you will need materials like copper and lead/steel for ammo, along with an optional generator if you plan on using an ammo press. You can write @techguns in JEI browser to see which guns you can craft.

+The modded armor are pretty strong, even rivaling vanilla armor. The earliest armor you can scavenge is Miner Armor, which is pretty good.

+Level up your skills to unlock the usage of certain items like cyberware machines, energy generators, disenchanting tables etc.

GUIDE FOR THE HUNTING DIMENSION

+You can enter the hunting dimension by crafting the portal's frames (shaped like a nether portal), lighting it up and entering the portal.

+Do NOT enter without invisibility, the mobs there have much higher health and damage than the overworld. Due to stealth mechanics, the most hidden you can be is by going in without armor and invisibility. (other factors can be found in the hunting dimension's configuration file.)

+Placing and breaking blocks in the hunting dimension is DISABLED.

+The reward of killing mobs in the hunting dimension are modded ores like copper, lead, bronze, titanium and even hell ingots!

Overall, it will be a fun experience.

NOTE: The primitivemobs' mobs are not classified as tamed, and will be shot by turrets on sight!

The modpack finally has a working server pack! It only contains server side and server and client mods.  Please read the README text file for setup. (Dynamic Trees issue is also covered in the server pack.)
