What's new

Embersong Alpha 0.3.0

Alpha 0.3.0 is a major progression, equipment, class and content expansion for Embersong. It moves the pack much closer to the intended long-form RPG structure while greatly expanding exploration, building, utility and co-op content.

PROGRESSION AND CHARACTER BUILDING
- Expands Character progression to Level 120.
- Introduces the shared Build system: class ranks and racial ranks draw from the same permanent character-build capacity.
- Normal class, race and Skill Point allocation is permanent.
- Adds a dedicated Skill Point economy with 80 total SP available by Level 120.
- Adds 175 class Skill Point nodes in total: 36 Basic-class nodes and 139 Advanced/Rare specialization nodes.
- Reworks the K progression menu into five clear sections: Character, Classes, Skills, Masteries and Races.
- Adds compact breadcrumb/drill-down navigation so large class families remain readable as the roster grows.

CLASSES
- Expands the class registry to 66 classes across six full class families.
- Six Basic classes: Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Cleric, Druid and Bard.
- Adds 19 Advanced classes and 41 Rare specializations.
- Adds Basic -> Advanced -> Rare progression paths with visible unlock requirements.
- Basic classes cap at Lv15, Advanced classes at Lv10 and Rare classes at Lv5.
- Advanced paths unlock from their Basic parent; Rare paths unlock from their Advanced parent, with selected Mastery requirements where appropriate.
- Adds Advanced/Rare Skill Point trees across the entire registered specialization structure.
- Adds runtime effects for the Advanced/Rare SP registry and expands live specialization mechanics across multiple branches.

CLASS IDENTITY AND COMBAT
- Warrior gains the Battle Momentum identity and expanded physical progression.
- Rogue gains Skirmisher tempo and expanded Combat Roll access through class progression.
- Mage gains Arcane Flow and specialization-based magical scaling.
- Cleric gains Grace Ward and stronger Holy/support identity.
- Druid gains the Primal Cycle, Nature scaling and transformed-combat support.
- Bard gains Performance Rhythm and class-aware Bard Craft scaling.
- Expands Advanced/Rare mechanics including Pyromancer Kindling, Knight/Berserker/Duelist identities, Rogue specialization mobility, Cleric support/offense branches, Druid specialization hooks and Bard Rare-branch scaling.

RACES
- Adds six playable races: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Wildkin and Goblin.
- New characters begin without a race and receive a free permanent first race selection.
- Racial ranks share the same Build pool as class ranks, allowing race investment without creating a separate progression currency.
- Each race has its own modest base identity, per-rank scaling and milestone bonuses while remaining compatible with all six Basic class families.

MASTERIES
- Adds the full 20-Mastery framework with persistent hidden XP and progression feedback.
- Spell/support Masteries: Fire, Frost, Lightning, Arcane, Occult, Nature, Holy and Healing.
- Combat Masteries: Sword, Heavy Weapon, Shield, Ranged and Critical.
- Special Masteries: Shapeshift, Companion, Song, Blood, Undeath, Demonic and Lycanthropy.
- Adds color-coded Mastery feedback and K-menu Mastery bars.
- Expands gameplay tracking so Mastery XP is earned from meaningful combat, spell, support and specialization actions rather than simple button presses.

MAGIC AND SPELL PROGRESSION
- Keeps Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks as the main spell and mana provider while Embersong controls class access and progression.
- Adds school-based Casting Rank progression tied to class investment.
- Spell rarity access now scales through Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary Casting Rank thresholds.
- Advanced and Rare magical specialization investment is required for the highest normal spell tiers.
- Scrolls remain useful off-build tools but retain Character-Level rarity safeguards.
- Adds class-aware scaling for Fire, Frost/Ice, Lightning, Arcane/Evocation/Ender, Blood/Eldritch, Holy and Nature paths.

DRUID FORMS AND BARD SUPPORT
- Expands Druid/Shapeshifter form progression and transformed natural combat.
- Supports Natural -> Awakened -> Mythic form evolution across the established form lineages.
- Adds/maintains Wolf, Fox, Polar Bear, Frog and Aquatic progression with form-specific combat and movement identities.
- Keeps the dedicated Embersong Hippocampus compatibility fix for stable aquatic morph rendering.
- Integrates Bard class progression with Bard Craft while keeping Embersong in control of class access and scaling.
- Expands Maestro, Skald and Dirgeweaver paths and their Rare descendants.

EQUIPMENT AND EMBERSONG ARMORY
- Establishes the external-first equipment framework for normal progression, with Embersong tiering and attunement applied across the broader gear ecosystem.
- Current progression framework covers T1-T11 equipment, with higher tiers reserved for later development.
- Adds Character-Level soft attunement: higher-tier gear remains usable below its intended level, but at reduced effectiveness rather than through blanket hard locks.
- Adds tier-based socket budgets and integrates Apotheosis/Apothic Attributes as the affix, gem and socket provider.
- Normalizes 248 managed T1-T11 melee weapons for damage, speed, reach and durability while preserving appropriate native special effects.
- Expands ranged/special weapon authority and class assignments across bows, crossbows, staves and unique weapons.
- Adds/continues custom Embersong weapons including Kesestern, Serpent's Fang and the custom-model Kunai.
- Retires unfinished old custom T1-T14 armor from normal acquisition while preserving registry safety for existing saves.
- Equipment audit coverage reached 837 candidates across armor, weapons, shields and casting implements during the 0.3.0 development line.

ASCENSION FORGE
- Expands the custom Ascension equipment-upgrade foundation.
- Adds the Ascension Forge, upgrade materials, acquisition rules and progression-safe upgrade handling.
- The current public package contains 537 Ascension recipes.
- Adds equipment-family mapping and validation so supported gear can move through the intended upgrade structure without replacing the broader external equipment ecosystem.

WORLD, EXPLORATION AND ENCOUNTERS
- Greatly expands the curated world and adventure stack used by Embersong.
- Continues the Tectonic / Regions Unexplored / Geophilic terrain foundation with Incendium and Nullscape dimension content.
- Expands structures with projects including YUNG's Better Mineshafts, YUNG's Better Strongholds, Dungeons and Taverns, When Dungeons Arise, Repurposed Structures and ATi Structures.
- Expands encounter variety through the existing boss/mob ecosystem plus additional creature and boss content in the final 0.3.0 package.
- Adds more tools for exploration and navigation through JourneyMap, JourneyMap Integration, JourneyMap Teams, Ping Wheel, Ping-to-Map, Explorer's Compass and Nature's Compass.

BUILDING, CREATE, STORAGE AND UTILITY EXPANSION
- Substantially expands the Create ecosystem with additional machinery, transport, factory and decoration integrations.
- The final package includes Create additions such as Crafts & Additions, Aquatic Ambitions, Bells & Whistles, Enchantment Industry, Hypertubes, New Age, Diesel Generators, Big Cannons, Ultimate Factory, The Factory Must Grow, Metallurgy, Dragons Plus and related compatibility support.
- Expands storage with Sophisticated Storage, Sophisticated Backpacks integrations, Functional Storage, Ender Storage and Create-style storage/backpack integrations.
- Expands building/decor options through Chipped, Rechiseled, Rechiseled: Chipped, Rechiseled: Create, Connected Glass, Chisel Reborn, Xtones Reworked, Handcrafted and related content.
- Adds/expands utility and quality-of-life features including Bridging Mod, Double Doors, Crafting Tweaks, Inventory Tweaks - ReFoxed, Mouse Tweaks, Durability Tooltip, Item Highlighter, Shulker Box Tooltip, Controlling, Trash Cans, Torchmaster, Tempad, Configured and more.

FOOD, FARMING AND SOCIAL/CO-OP
- Expands food and farming content with Farmer's Delight, Ocean's Delight, My Nether's Delight, Cooking for Blockheads, Farming for Blockheads, Spice of Life: Carrot Edition, HerbalBrews, Vinery and related integrations.
- Adds/expands Simple Voice Chat, JourneyMap Teams, Ping Wheel, Ping-to-Map, Chat Heads, WATUT and Emojiful for co-op communication and awareness.

TECHNICAL, PERFORMANCE AND PACKAGING
- Large dependency/content refresh across the 0.3.0 development line with repeated runtime and fresh-profile validation.
- Retains the tested performance foundation including Sodium, Iris, ImmediatelyFast, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ServerCore, Noisium and related optimizations.
- Public Alpha 0.3.0 now uses standalone CurseForge releases for Embersong Core 0.3.0 and Embersong Armory 0.1.0 instead of embedding development JARs inside the modpack.
- Final public package contains 232 CurseForge manifest entries.
- Built for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.248 and Java 21.

IMPORTANT
Alpha 0.3.0 is still an Alpha release. Back up important worlds before updating. World-generation additions may require unexplored chunks or a fresh world to appear, and multiplayer-sensitive systems may continue to receive additional validation and polish in later releases.
