  • Added a multi-act progression storyline guiding players from their first adventures to endgame encounters.

  • Established a recommended boss progression across the Overworld, Nether, End, and modded dimensions.

  • Added boss-hunting contracts with dedicated rewards.

  • Introduced class-specific equipment progression chapters for Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Cleric, Druid, and Bard.

  • Added optional questlines covering Create, magic, enchanting, farming, Vinery, exploration, storage, travel, building, and other gameplay systems.

  • Integrated character levels, classes, and Masteries with quest progression tracking.

  • Expanded quest descriptions, rewards, and progression guidance.

New Economy — Ember Marks

  • Introduced Ember Marks, Embersong's new adventure currency.

  • Added the Ember Market, featuring 72 repeatable item exchanges.

  • Players can earn Ember Marks through quests, boss contracts, and exploration.

  • Added opportunities to discover Ember Marks in loot chests.

  • Introduced alternative ways to obtain useful crafting resources and materials through the market.

Complete Equipment Overhaul

  • Completed a comprehensive equipment audit covering 1,308 catalogued items.

  • Reviewed and integrated hundreds of weapons, armor pieces, shields, and accessories into Embersong's tier system.

  • Expanded weapon classification across 422 weapon entries.

  • Added tier information for 263 accessories while preserving their original mechanics.

  • Improved equipment tooltips with tier, class, equipment slot, and attunement information.

  • Normalized additional armor and weapon statistics to improve progression consistency.

  • Corrected equipment classifications and native slot compatibility.

  • Retired hundreds of unused, duplicate, placeholder, or unsuitable equipment entries from new acquisition without deleting existing player-owned items.

  • Preserved native special abilities and mod-specific equipment mechanics.

Ascension Forge & Equipment Progression

  • Strengthened the Ascension Forge as the main crafting and upgrade system for Tier IV+ equipment.

  • Removed unintended crafting bypasses that allowed high-tier equipment to skip progression requirements.

  • Preserved appropriate native crafting and enhancement systems for accessories, spellbooks, and equipment-specific upgrades.

  • Improved the connection between equipment tiers, character levels, and upgrade routes.

  • Made the Ascension Forge accessible earlier through a revised Overworld crafting recipe.

  • Applied the 20% stat-retention rule to equipment used below its required attunement level.

  • Improved acquisition paths for special weapons, including additional rare boss drops.

  • Expanded compatibility with equipment from existing content mods.

Boss Progression & Combat Balance

  • Rebalanced 61 boss entries around Embersong's campaign progression.

  • Established encounter level bands ranging from Level 20 through Level 120.

  • Revised boss health, armor, toughness, and outgoing damage to create a more consistent difficulty curve.

  • Strengthened late-game bosses against excessive burst damage and critical-hit strategies.

  • Introduced additional combat pressure during high-level encounters.

  • Adjusted individual boss health calculations and compatibility, including the Twilight Forest Naga.

  • Reinforced the Ender Dragon's role as a major progression milestone rather than the final boss of the modpack.

Classes, Critical Hits & Magic

  • Improved Rogue critical-strike integration and specialization.

  • Strengthened the critical-hit identities of Assassin, Executioner, and Shadowblade.

  • Integrated class and skill-based critical bonuses with the existing Apotheosis attribute system.

  • Improved interactions between critical damage, equipment, and high-level encounters.

  • Enhanced high-impact magic, including Grand Sigil and Monolith damage adjustments.

  • Improved Singularity's ability to pull enemies resistant to ordinary knockback.

  • Expanded terrain destruction and vertical impact behavior for major spells such as Skybreak, Sunfall, Grand Sigil, and Glacier.

  • Preserved bedrock protection during destructive spell effects.

Technical Improvements & Compatibility

  • Updated Embersong Armory to 0.1.5.

  • Improved compatibility between Armory, equipment scripts, and native mod mechanics.

  • Refined equipment acquisition rules, recipe handling, and item tooltip presentation.

  • Preserved existing player items and equipment registry identities during equipment retirement.

  • Improved progression-to-quest synchronization without replacing the underlying character progression system.

  • Prepared updated client and server-side configurations for the new progression systems.

  • General integration, consistency, and stability improvements.

Embersong Alpha 0.4.1 continues building toward a complete fantasy RPG experience, with meaningful character development, structured adventures, challenging encounters, and rewarding long-term progression.
