DynaMine Industries

Mine with TNT and Industries for commercialization of products

The initial base idea for this DynaMine modpack was the concept of mining through the use of explosives. Gunpowder is easy to obtain and strip/quarry mining using picks is almost impossible to perform.

 

Ultimately the sandbox allows you to go from a survival situation to building industries (not only mining) for commercialization.

 

It adds several challenges:

 

  • Mining/spelunking
      • Mine by spelunking or using explosives (Hardcore Spelunking mod) - Starting a couple of layers below the surface obsidian stops you from strip or quarry mining. The obsidian is changed so that, even though it is tough to the pick, it is easily destroyed with explosives.
      • To increase its availability, gunpowder is craftable.
      • Find ore veins with prospector tools to direct your mining efforts (Geolosys, Scannable)
      • Items/ores are not destroyed by the mining explosions

       

  • Storage/transportation
      • Early game inventory space is reduced - use wearable backpack and tool belt to increase space
      • Early game has only mini chests - Store items using bibliocraft, storage drawers and impractical storage mods so you may need to build big warehouses
      • Cheaper rails and bronze minecart for transportation of items
      • Use horse carts, personal cars and ViesCraft for transportation of items

       

  • The right tool for the job
      • Use flint tools in early game and tinker tools to be able to gather resources (no breaking of most blocks with your hand) - Vanilla tools are useless.
      • While building left-click placed blocks with empty hand to recover them

       

  • Progression ages 
    • Items and ores are restricted through GameStages with an early survival challenge.

      • Ages include (Nomadic age - Settled age - Bronze age - Iron age - Pre-Industrial age and Industrial age).

       

  • Factories/Industries creation
    • Mid-Endgame item creation (Forestry, Factory Tech, Industrial Craft and others) to sell through MegaCorp

       

Other features:

    • Role playing mods (ToroQuest, Minecraft Comes Alive)
    • Enhanced farmer life (animalia)
    • Aesthetics (Biomes o plenty, Dynamic trees, Hardcore Darkness)
    • Extra difficulty (Iberia, Bloodmoon)
