Don't Worry

Version 1.20.1 | A beginner-friendly vanilla++ pack focused on maximizing performance and creating a sense of a cozy adventure - best played with friends!

This modpack started off as Vanilla+ and soon expanded into Vanilla++ to overhaul core gameplay aspects and add more things to do while still intending to remain in the realm of a vanilla experience.

So, what can you expect?:

  • Performance: Virtually every meaningful performance mod under the sun that is NeoForge. You can expect some pretty reasonable FPS, even with shaders and a sizable render distance
  • Exploration: Overhauled terrain generation with William Wyther's Overhauled Overworld + Lithosphere, sprinkled with many new structures and dungeons to find as you explore your world
  • Building: Level up your builds with new blocks, furniture, and the ability to build virtually anything with Chisel & Bits!
  • Vanilla++ Visuals and Sounds: Get immersed into your world with ambience, sound physics, new or improved sounds for blocks, and pleasing visual effects that still feel Vanilla
  • Quality of Life: Leash villagers, use improved crafting/enchanting/anvils, and more
  • New Expansions: Experience new additions to the game such as the Let's Do series, Create and addons, Hexcasting, and more! There's always something to do
  • Game Expansions: Enjoy improvements to existing game mechanics such as better fishing, more food to create, more crops to farm, more enchants, and more
  • Pass the Time: Take a break from combat with painting, music creation, dog training, picture taking, and more

Some things I recommend:

At least 5GB+ of RAM, but more if you can spare it. I've had a good experience with 8GB but the game still runs fine between 5GB - 6GB, as tested by some friends. If you're new to modpacks, make sure you go over all of your graphics settings in a singleplayer world and tweak it to how you want.

Additionally, this pack includes the tool Chunky which I highly recommend using. The world generation is beautiful, but it also may generate slowly. You should consider pregenerating some of the chunks around you using it (the mod page has all the info you need).

And my final note is about Distant Horizons. If you have the hardware for it, I strongly recommend adding this mod as well. I haven't included it in this pack due to some people's computers not supporting it as well as having an unnecessary performance hit for visuals

Thank you for checking out this pack!!
