The Summary
Mankind is on the brink of extinction and an excess of imposing monsters of all shapes and sizes run rampant in the world making survival a daunting task. It is up to you to reestablish human civilization by progressing through things such as: exploring dungeons, learning about spellcasting and rituals, slaying monsters for special equipment and building your own colony.
What is Dawn of Man?
Dawn of Man is a 1.16.5 minecraft modpack that transforms minecraft into an adventure rpg with a more intuitive combat system(epic fight mod), a player attributes system(PlayerEx) and lots of mods adding more mobs and bosses to the game such as Greek Fantasy and Ice and Fire. There's some magic mods such as Ars Nouveau for spellcasting and Eidolon for rituals and further progression. And there's also a variety of different dungeons ranging from small camps to giant structures to explore and loot, these come from mods such as When Dungeons Arise and Workshops of Doom.
General Tips
1. First thing to focus on in this modpack is leveling up your stats by gaining experience and spending it on attributes to make you stronger since you start out with only 6 hp. Even if you have strong equipment, it won't do much for you if you dont have the stats to back it up.
2. The combat in this modpack has been changed dramaticly by the Epic Fight mod. You now have attack animations, special attacks and dodge rolls. The armor you have equiped will also have a certain weight, the amount of weight of your armor will determine how fast you roll and how long the cooldown is so if you want to stay nimble you need to look for armor that protects you but doesnt weigh you down too much.
3. Pick your fights wisely. You start off very weak so it's advised to run from most monsters if you can't handle them.
4. Exploration is key since you are going to need ores to make equipment and conquer dungeons to find loot. Among the loot you find in dungeons, you can find special eyes of ender needed to progress to the End Dimension since the way you get to the End has been changed too.
5. Building a colony with the MineColonies mod is advised because a lot of processes such as mining can be automated by making npcs mine for you.
6. Optifine isn't included since curse won't allow that so to improve performance you have to add optifine manualy.
7. When creating a world select Terraforged as world generation since this is the intended world generation to play with :)
