OptiFine - DarkFM looks best with OptiFine. You'll get compatability warnings but from my testing there are no issues.
I recommend using OptiFine 1.16.5 HD U G8 as it's the version I tested with and has the least issues.
For shaders I strongly recommend that you don't use ones like BSL or PTGI. This is solely due to the fact that, despite being great shaders, they have rendering issues with certain parts of this modpack. Using them in the nether will occasionally cause all blocks to render invisible. Instead I recommend Complementary Shaders as they not only still look pretty, but also function fine with the mod from my testing.
Forge - Please use at least Forge 36.2.34 when running this modpack. This is the version of Forge that the mod versions used are all the most compatable with.
Please keep in mind that anything relating to servers hasn't at all been tested yet! I do plan on testing multiplayer on this modpack and updating this appropriately. If you test it yourself in the meantime and get any bugs or issues, please let me know so I can figure out a fix!
I also recommend disabling phantoms in game rules. Totally optional but I feel like it bolsters exploration.
This is Dark Fantasy Medieval - a modpack created to try and capture a fun medieval experience with, of course, a dark fantasy setting. This is still a work-in-progress so expect some areas to need some work. The modpack adds a variety of mobs, bosses, weapons, armor, dungeons and the like to build your adventuring experience. You can even start and build up your own village from nothing, tame and ride a dragon to conquer the lands or engage in witchcraft and toil over your cauldron day and night.
The overall caving experience has been enhanced to heavily encourage spelunking. You can find plenty of new ores and gems, imporved mineshafts and dungeons, new dungeons altogether, giant underground lava lakes (you can also fish in lava now), and even dragon caverns within which you can challenge the dragon for a chance to get your own dragon egg to hatch!
You can also live amongst tiny mushroom people.
