Cobblemon Authentic

Cobblemon Authentic is a complete Fabric 1.21.1 Cobblemon modpack built around one goal: making Cobblemon feel like a deeper, more complete Pokémon adventure while still keeping the freedom, exploration, building, survival, and multiplayer experience of Minecraft.

Instead of simply adding Pokémon to a normal Minecraft world, Cobblemon Authentic expands nearly every part of the experience. Exploration has more purpose, progression lasts longer, Pokémon have more uses outside of basic battles, the world contains more places worth discovering, and players have additional goals that continue well beyond catching their first team.

At the center of the pack is the custom CobbleAuthentic mod, which connects many of the pack's systems together and introduces new progression, exploration, multiplayer, legendary, job, achievement, and battle mechanics designed specifically around Cobblemon.

Whether you want to complete a collection, build the strongest team possible, hunt rare Pokémon, explore the world, challenge powerful opponents, develop your trainer, earn money, breed Pokémon, discover structures, battle raid bosses, or play through a long-term multiplayer world with friends, Cobblemon Authentic is designed to give you something to work toward.

A More Complete Cobblemon Experience

Cobblemon Authentic is built around Cobblemon 1.7.3 and expands the base experience with a large collection of compatible Cobblemon addons, exploration mods, optimization mods, quality-of-life improvements, visual enhancements, and the custom CobbleAuthentic progression system.

The result is an experience that feels less like Minecraft with Pokémon added into it and more like an actual Pokémon adventure taking place inside Minecraft.

You can still mine, craft, farm, explore, build bases, travel through dimensions, fight Minecraft mobs, and experience normal survival progression, but Pokémon become a much larger part of what you do throughout the world.

CobbleAuthentic Progression

One of the largest additions in the modpack is the custom CobbleAuthentic trainer progression system.

Rather than every player immediately having access to everything, different parts of the Pokémon experience can become part of your progression.

The system is designed to reward players for exploring, battling, capturing Pokémon, completing objectives, and spending time developing their trainer.

Tamer Skill Tree

CobbleAuthentic includes a Tamer Skill Tree that gives your trainer another form of long-term progression.

Instead of progression only being based around your Pokémon's levels, your trainer can develop as well.

The skill system gives players another reason to continue completing activities throughout the world and allows the experience to gradually expand as you progress.

This makes your character feel like an actual developing Pokémon Trainer rather than simply being the person controlling the Pokémon.

Capture-Level Progression

Capturing Pokémon is an important part of Cobblemon Authentic's progression.

The pack includes capture-level progression, adding another layer to catching and collecting Pokémon.

Your journey as a trainer is meant to progress naturally rather than instantly giving you access to every powerful Pokémon and feature.

Poké Jobs

Your Pokémon are useful for more than battling.

CobbleAuthentic adds Poké Jobs, allowing Pokémon from your collection to be assigned to jobs.

Jobs create another reason to collect and maintain a larger roster of Pokémon instead of keeping the majority of your collection permanently stored inside the PC.

When a Pokémon is actively assigned to a job, it becomes committed to that job for its duration rather than simultaneously being available as part of your normal active team.

This helps make your Pokémon feel like actual partners living and working within the world.

Poké Jobs also create another progression path for players who enjoy collecting, management, and passive activities alongside battling.

ItemFinder and Hidden Items

Exploration is rewarded through the ItemFinder system.

Hidden items can exist throughout the world, giving players a reason to carefully explore areas instead of simply running from destination to destination.

The ItemFinder automatically assists with locating nearby hidden items, creating an experience inspired by hidden-item hunting from traditional Pokémon games.

Finding hidden rewards can make revisiting structures, settlements, routes, forests, caves, and other locations worthwhile.

Expanded Achievements

Cobblemon Authentic includes additional achievement progression connected to both structures and the Kanto experience.

Achievements help guide players toward content they may otherwise miss while also giving completion-focused players additional long-term goals.

Combined with Better Advancements and Advancement Plaques, important achievements are presented in a more satisfying and noticeable way.

A Pokémon adventure would not feel complete without rivals.

CobbleAuthentic introduces rival-related gameplay, providing additional opponents and progression encounters throughout your adventure.

Rivals help make the world feel more active and create another reason to continuously improve your Pokémon team.

Instead of training only for wild Pokémon, you have additional challenges that encourage stronger team composition, better moves, improved strategies, and higher-level Pokémon.

SOS Helper Battles

CobbleAuthentic includes SOS helper battle mechanics, expanding the possibilities during Pokémon encounters.

These mechanics can create battles where additional Pokémon become involved, making certain encounters less predictable and giving battles another layer of variety.

It helps make wild encounters feel more dynamic instead of every battle following exactly the same format.

Raid Dens and Powerful Battles

The modpack includes Cobblemon Raid Dens, giving players access to powerful raid encounters.

The Ender Dragon can become part of a special multiplayer Pokémon raid experience, combining Minecraft's endgame boss progression with Cobblemon-style battling.
